Ole said de gea was out in October yet he played
I fully expect to see Rashford play
We will lose at some stage this season in my opinion. I’m taking no notice of any records the media are banging on about
It’s all about winning the league this year. We just can’t fuck this up surely

17th January 2020 at 4:48 pm #60829Sean, even if Liverpool unexpectedly lost on Sunday and I don’t think they will they will still win the League with games to spare.
I agree with you re Rashford though Ole has form for this and perhaps understandably he might be trying to pull a fast one but Rashford looked like he was struggling to me and back injuries take time to go away and you’re often left with a weakness as I know personally from my own done playing Squash.?

17th January 2020 at 6:37 pm #60831AnonymousI’m not knocking Klopp but that quote without context seems like he crossed the line a bit. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt though, as he’s a bit like myself, in that he can say something in a goofy way and it can come across in a negative manner.
Mav, as for this era, you still have some class players but it’s true, you guys need to get your shit together. This new lad that’s arriving is meant to be an absolutely incredible player, with heart and fight like no man.
I read people talking about him and I thought to myself, damn we could use that!… everyone could.

17th January 2020 at 7:03 pm #60832Anonymous“Sean, even if Liverpool unexpectedly lost on Sunday and I don’t think they will they will still win the League with games to spare.”
It’s kinda weird to see the difference in how Liverpool fans look at the team and how other fans do. Don’t get me wrong, we know we support a truly awesome side, with the best manager we could dream to have. We look back at some incredible matches under Klopp and so many amazing goals by the talent out there etc… but when it comes down to the next PL match, this is where our views are different.
I think it’s because of 2 things, 1) we’ve not won the PL. 2) Man City have a freakish ability to go on winning streaks, destroying teams by 4 or 5 goals.
Heading into this game, I do think we’ll win it but if we were to lose, I definitely wouldn’t be saying that we’ll still win the league by a number of game weeks. I would start worrying with a single loss. A few losses and a few draws and wonderful gap is gone and although it’s unlikely to happen in most fans eyes, it could and us Liverpool fans think about this, a lot.
This is why I’m desperate to get the next 2 games out of the way, hopefully winning them both. Now, I get that I’ll be rehashing too much if I go into that but I just can’t be so relaxed about it as a neutral fan and it does give me some amusement.
Everyone is waving off the PL and Liverpool fans are all at the edge of their seats just waiting for the next match.

18th January 2020 at 3:48 am #60840Mak I think your right, the worrying thing is we all know city have the team to go on a massive winning streak so despite us looking great at the moment, it only takes a couple of losses for the doubt to creep in & city to get a sniff. Win the next couple & I’ll be a lot more relaxed about it.

18th January 2020 at 7:26 am #60842I’m the same oz. city have had their blips this season but they are still an amazing side and will be much stronger with Laporte at the back
They could win their next 17 games. We just can’t give them any hope
It be really interesting to see what the table is like after the 29th feb
We have to play utd, wolves, West Ham twice ,Southampton and Watford before then
Watford is going to be a horrible game. Pearson really has them motoring at the minute and I expect them to beat spurs todsy

18th January 2020 at 8:11 am #60844Mak, it’s easy to just take an objective view of the PL title race if you don’t have any emotional attachments to Liverpool.
I completely understand where all you guys are coming from given the previous slip ups and the 30 year wait.
In each of Chelsea’s 5 PL title wins I never accepted it was a done deal until we were something like 10 points clear with 3 games to go either.?

18th January 2020 at 8:14 am #60845The Watford v Spurs lunchtime ko live on BT Sport will be interesting Pearson has done a great job since his appointment and you wouldn’t want to be playing them at Vicarage Road currently.

18th January 2020 at 8:42 am #60847AnonymousNine, Im sure you remember our falling out. There was a difference of opinion regards to liverpools title race and more. I tool exception to a sentence that im sure you said in exasperation. My words afterwards were poorly chosen and a few times along the way I even though of messaging Ed to apologize to yourself. I mean, I think you chose your words or maybe just lost patience with myself for a moment… like Im only saying that we were both accountable that day, much more on my part though. I did lose the plot but perhaps iys at the very least , undertsandible that we just cant accept people tying ribbons on for us until it gets mad.
Anyway Nine, I hope things are good between us as I say sorry for the outburst. There are few posters who I respect more. Let’s fall out less often.
I came back here as I had finally accepted that with a few more good performances, we can ease off on our defensive stance. There must be a stage where its definitely not counting chickens or being in any way presumptuous or arrogan… and just accepting that the title SHOULD be heading towards X.
At a certain point we’ve got to accept tbat unless some crazy stuff happens, its over.
That’s why I came back here at this time.
I felt lile the atmosphere might be better as tension was eased on merseyside. That make sense?Well we arent there yet. 2 of the 5 big games left. The Utd game is the most important game of the season so far and not just cause its next… but mostly cause its next. Lol
Seiously though, i wish it were todsy ffs.

18th January 2020 at 11:49 am #60854Ye nine I strongly fancy Watford mate.
Jose really hasn’t much of an impact on spurs at all.
Surprising as I tviyht he would have given the club a lift

18th January 2020 at 12:13 pm #60855That’s an interesting 11 from Maureen for the Hornets…. and Wee Erik is on the bench so we’ll actually have 11 players for once.
Kinda fancy our chances to be honest, and I haven’t said that for a few games…
Now watch, Watforjd will score in the first 10 and hold out for a 1-0 result!! 🙂

18th January 2020 at 2:29 pm #60863Adlab, I know it’s very early days for Jose but I think the man is done mate
Spurs are very ordinary. The tactics in big games of key the opposition have more of the ball and they might make a mistake are outdated.
He’s not moving with the times. I can only see his spurs tenure ending in failure
