Being honest I don’t think they have any other option other than be tight and try to hit us on the break. Rashford would be a huge loss if he doesn’t play. They do always lift against us but I’d be more than surprised if we didn’t get the cookies in this one.
As for the game after, I can see a very very tough game with a draw not being to bad a result there.
Here’s to another 3 points and a step closer to finally ending the EPL drought._____________________________

16th January 2020 at 6:02 am #60675Once again, Nil gives me no choice but to block him until there’s a good reason to let him back on. Recently Sean and now Mak having had completely unwarranted attacks from him. Nil, really starting to become tiring now

16th January 2020 at 6:41 am #60677Well that was bizarre behavior, completely understand Ed’s actions. Nil if you are reading this, maybe go away for a while and try and have a think about your actions. That attack on Mak was completely unprovoked.
Back to the big game this weekend, Liverpool have a number of payers back in training but it is probably too soon for them. The Echo ran an article saying because of his importance to the team and how he played against Utd last season that Fabinho may start but I think a place on the bench is his best chance.
I think the only choice for Klopp is who to play in midfield along side Hendo and Gini. Out of Lallana or Ox I would choose Ox. Lallana has been playing very well so that might sound harsh, but it’s purely tactical. If Ole goes like the reverse fixture then he will try and nullify TAA and Robertson. With Ox, Klopp can give it 15-20 minutes and see if they are getting any joy, if TAA is being marked out of the game again, Ox can move to the right wing to overload along with TAA, Salah moves to no 9 and the team goes 4231. This is similar to what Klopp did last time with Hendo moving out wide when we were struggling to break Utd down.

16th January 2020 at 6:52 am #60678AnonymousEd. I appreciate your response. I have to say though, for me, Nil has not only waded in political waters with his remark about how the employed pay their taxes. He’s clearly noticed that I am not employed. He’s taken aim at this and it’s a particular soar point for myself.
I am technically on disability, not that it was anyone’s business. I am not disabled, I’d not make that claim but here in Ireland any illness that is deemed to be over 12 months, is put in this category. I don’t go through the struggles that an actual disabled person goes through and I’d never make that claim but I do have my struggles and excuse me for this now Ed but… Nil, you’ve rubbed me the wrong way many times over the years but this is the last.
How dare you.
I’ve said this many times in my mind when thinking about your hatred for football clubs or fans etc etc you’ve made this personal to me now.
Tell you what lad, you wanna get personal, come to Cork, I’ll show you the Lee, ya c*nt.
You wanna talk about jobs, I had a skilled job when I was 15 you silly tit. You were sucking on yer mams tits when I was problem finding on circuit boards.
Now, apologies lads but you didn’t exactly correct him for his statement about the unemployed now did you. There mare reasons for being unemployed and they arent all about fucking pillows.

16th January 2020 at 7:00 am #60679AnonymousApologies if that reads harsh. i’ve re-read it and I can see where I would edit, were I to do so. I’ll leave it as such with the label that Im not really having a go at everyone here but just that I’ve absolutely had it with Nil. he pushed a real button today and not just something that winds me up. Its a real issue for me in my life and he’s a lucky guy that he didn’t say it to my face.

16th January 2020 at 7:15 am #60680To be honest the comment from Nil about earning crust and paying taxes I just dismissed as Nil talking total rubbish and making no sense. Not nice for you to read Mak clearly and understandable, but for me it is none of my business if you work or not, if you sleep or not, and defiantly none of his either. I often post early, why? Because I’m up at 04:45 to start work at 6 (and I’m an hour ahead of you lot), but I don’t expect anyone to care and neither should we about anyone else. Nil clearly has a mental block on knowing how to behave within a social situation, or at least within an online social group.
My girlfriend is a Psychologist and I keep telling her if she ever wanted to study bizarre behavior then an online football forum is the place to go. By the way Mak, I also told her about that time you called me histrionic, she agreed 😀

16th January 2020 at 7:17 am #60681No completely understand your reaction Mak. Certainly wasn’t my intention to ignore the nature of the remark. To be honest, I didn’t realise the struggles you’d been having so I can completely understand you reacting the way you did and respect the fact you were holding back last night.

16th January 2020 at 7:36 am #60683AnonymousI mean, what would Nil say when I used to work rotating shifts? I have the same sleeping “pattern” now. What would he say? It would look the exact same but I guess my taxes would be getting paid. Maybe I’d be voting for better health care, more education spending (ooohh not mine!*shakes head*) and you know, STAYING IN EUROPE.
Threeps, I don’t remember the time I pinned HPD on you. The glove fits me a lot better than you but I’m actually just ADD with like pinned on anxiety/depression. Sounds like nothing but it’s ruining my life.
sorry I said you were histrionic though.

16th January 2020 at 7:43 am #60684AnonymousEd, the only thing that annoyed me was the paying taxes comment. Paying taxes to me are a result of things being good. He probably talks proudly about paying them whilst voting to lower them as much as a possible.
I’m going to leave this thread where it is though, in terms of this discussion anyway. Let’s get back to football.

16th January 2020 at 8:10 am #60694Sorry mak didn’t realise all that mate. Keep the head up
Rashford would be a massive loss but fully expect him to start. Ole said the same about de gea in October and he played
My concern is sometimes we just leave two at the back and utd do have the pace to trouble us on the break
We are full of confidence though and will be well up for it
Threeps, very good point about ox as I was thinking we should maybe start lalanna out that post had made me re-think

16th January 2020 at 8:23 am #60697Rashford had a slight injury so was on the bench but then came on and took a knock right? I didn’t see the game but read it was just a collision injury rather than anything tissue or bone based so he should be ok.
Rashford or not I am actually looking forward to this one whereas I usually don’t. I hope for the same level of intensity as Liverpool shown vs Leicester.
Elsewhere, City should have no problems with Palace. I know Palace have caused problems before and before the reverse fixture earlier this season I thought they could again but then put in the a complete lackluster performance.
Watford v Spurs could be interesting. Watford showing good form recently and Spurs have big injury problems and I’m not convinced the manager change is having any positive effect.

16th January 2020 at 8:46 am #60699Some brief points from me try and stay positive Mak as hard as it is I feel for you buddie whatever you’re suffering personally it’s not reflected in your posts so good on you.
I don’t know why Nil reacts like he does and why he tries to suggest not for the first time that others on here don’t work and don’t pay taxes personally I wish that was the case particularly on taxes and particularly when I get my tax statement back from the inland revenue and look at how much I’ve paid each year but I get not everyone is as fortunate as me but I worked really hard to get where I am and I know my taxes go towards helping others as well as myself via the NHS so no worries there.
I thought threeps post @7:15am as he often does imo on many varied subjects summarised everything perfectly.
Sean mentioned the other day this was the “friendly” site and we all have to strive to keep it like that and I agree with Sean that is what it is despite the various Clubs we support and the occasional tiffs.
Unsolicited personal attacks though have no place on here and I commend the Ed for the action he took which I know he’s tried very hard up to now not to take but this time he was left with little choice.
Hopefully Nil finally learns his lesson and eventually comes back on the site all the better for his barring but how many times have we said that. We can only hope!

16th January 2020 at 9:09 am #60700i think its beyond that now personally 999, its not nice to ever want a ban or something but the lad has done this consistantly for years and years both here and on TT….and he has had so many nice words said to him and about him to help him and the cycle starts all over again.
I know Nil has mental health issues, big whoop many many do or have other conditions like Mak, none of it is an excuse to behave as he does time and time again.
Mak when i finally get my arse over to Eire this year to visit me mum and sister, if i head over to Galway i maight just swing by Cork for a beer if its at all possible mate 😉

16th January 2020 at 9:36 am #60705AnonymousAppreciate that lads. You know, it’s not often, that I’m genuinely offended. It of course coincides with me giving more information about myself than I’m comfortable with but that’s it for myself and Nil now. I say things like this but I mean it definitively now and an apology will not make a difference.
You know, after thinking about it , he used to have an issue with my posting frequency on TT. Back then it wasn’t about my repetition, which he actually has a point on here perhaps.. I have definitely been repetitive and so have the opposition and neutrals. It’s led to some ruffled feather between us Nine. each match is another 3 points but the same message comes from each of us no matter what the result.
Nil though is intolerant. I’m not going to give ed a choice between “me or him!!!”. as you say , it’s a community and I have my own improvements to make but while we’re on it, let’s not pretend that Nil will change.
He’s a bitter disgusting individual and I’m ashamed to have him as a Liverpool supporter. I do not want him to be a part of our group but I know for sure there are others who might say the same about me, so who am I to make this call? He has been a **** though and needs to be reprimanded. I’m pleased to see the temporary ban.
To be totally clear here though, when you come back here Nil, don’t ever talk to me. Like Sean, I’m totally done with you. You’re talking to a smaller audience every day.
Now, there was no need for any of this. It was actually football talk before that ****ing idiot chimed up. Like, look back, there’s nothing before it… clown.
anyway, I would speak about the Utd game but i know I’d upset a sad lonely drunken tit in Leicester. Glad to see that it’s not too early that I’m posting this either. All 22 pound of your taxes are sitting fine Nil, you hardy Englishman you.

16th January 2020 at 9:52 am #60707Mak and Stevo, hear what you say lads and you make a number of very relevant points. It’s a tough one for the Ed to ponder and he knows I’m around if he wants to bounce his thoughts off me. Cheers 9’s

16th January 2020 at 10:06 am #60710AnonymousWell, if it makes it easier, I’m done with the situation. he had a go, exposed some problems that I’m dealing with.. I’m not too bothered, I had them before ye knew, it doesn’t change much. What are his problems? has he even admitted that he drinks yet? Just imagine that his VAT is going on lousy immigrants!
Ok, now Im done with the situation.
Prick
Ok, really, I wear. this time, done.

16th January 2020 at 10:29 am #60713I’d be quite happy for Nil to never return tbh. The only way I’d consider letting him back on if the general consensus was that the site was better with him on it. As Mak alluded to, the group of posters jumping to defend him is getting smaller and smaller.
The beauty about this site is that it polices itself so I don’t feel the need to be on here constantly, allowing me to balance a job, a family with small kids and everything else. Nil challenges that far too often.
