19th January 2020 at 6:29 pm #61000AnonymousI couldnt give a MOTM opinion. I was not only struggling with getting streams, I was also getting them and linking them to a friend, which RUINED the entire 1st half. i saw maybe 25% of it at best. I saw 99% of the 2nd half but missed the goal… Im kinda annoyed but… I should shut up cause we’re going to win the PL.

19th January 2020 at 6:31 pm #61002Good to see Fab back, will give chance to start resting some others like Henderson & Wijnaldum, who have been busting a gut for a while now.

19th January 2020 at 6:37 pm #61004AnonymousThat’s the PL title all but won anyway. I said I’d say so after the Wolves game but City went and drew with Palace in pretty pathetic style. I mean, we could have suffered the same fate, as we were not clinical either. I just expected more from City TBH. Are they capable of winning the rest of their matches this season? not hey aren’t.
It’s time Liverpool supporters accepted that we’re going to win the PL, in my humble opinion. I expect a good 60-70% to disagree and fair enough if you do. This is however my opinion.
It’s over, barring some crazy injury problems.

19th January 2020 at 6:42 pm #61005You trying to be funny Mak?? There isn’t a non-LiberoOol on here who hasn’t said your mob aren’t going to win since about October. Most of us have already passed on our congratulations and haven’t really been following the “title” race, because there isn’t one.
Shit on a stick, you lot will be sulking when nobody can be bothered to put up the bunting again!! ๐

19th January 2020 at 6:45 pm #61007Iโm naturally cautious on these things. Iโll celebrate if/when itโs mathematically assured, no sooner.

If you don’t remember last season, or 13/14 then that’s on you but we have had good reason to hold off ,and push judgment away. Even now, I’d be furious if Klopp came out and said “It’s done”. I’m a fan, I can say whatever I want. My concentration on the next match has no bearing on the result.
It’s over but only now. You called it in October? Nice prediction of the future but if you’re talking about being correct in the present sense, you were wrong.

19th January 2020 at 6:48 pm #61009Totally agree mikius. Iโll never call it until itโs actually done. Iโll be more relaxed if we go 19 clear
Iโm
Very cautious and will never go overboard_____________________________

19th January 2020 at 6:53 pm #61011AnonymousMikus, I understand wanting to hold off but people say this and I always wonder… Are they just needing it to be really secure or are they being literal?
My point here is that if you want to get mathematical about it, the odds go up exponentially and become utterly ridiculous before they are a mathematical certainty. Like, you would surely celebrate the PL if we were 7 games from the end and only needed 1 point from 7 matches?
At that stage and even the matches before it, it’s essentially a mathematical certainty. It really is. Otherwise you buy lotto tickets and expect to win.
So, if you don’t mind, can I ask you if you’re being literal there and also, this question goes out ton Sean and others. Sorry Sean, maybe you didn’t say it but it’s been used a fair bit on here. I forget by who but also this is just a discussion, I’m not pointing fingers and saying “moron!!”.. just as i hope you lads wont do for me for saying it’s almost certainly over now. Im ok with almost certainly but given the time left, injuries are a major parameter.

19th January 2020 at 6:53 pm #61012Ha, ha silly me of course I meant United in my previous post re the disallowed goal at least I got my prediction right “I can only see a comfortable Liverpool win probably by two clear goals.”?
What about Alisson’s ball to Salah for the second goal.
The title is won and has been for some time it’s now only about whether Liverpool can go the whole season unbeaten. I wouldn’t bet against it.

19th January 2020 at 6:58 pm #61014AnonymousNine, I don’t agree at all that it has been won for some time. You lads watched your teams win the PL against sides who would finish with points in the high 80s. We lost the Pl winning our last 9 games because City won their last 14 games in a row.
This City team is the real factor here and what they can do when they get going. You lads all called the title when Liverpool were 7 points clear last season too and even though we only lost one, we didnt win it. The same could have happened this season and we’ve just marched through 4, very tough fixtures, with 1 tough one left but only because city drew, I’m calling it early. It was never over until this moment.

19th January 2020 at 6:59 pm #61015Mak, Iโm just cautious because thereโs 16 games left mate.
We have been burned and fucked up so many times that Iโll. ever say itโs done when itโs not
Thatโs just me chum.

19th January 2020 at 7:00 pm #61016Mak, I guess itโs just after recent near misses over the years. Yes, deep down it obviously looks pretty secure. If we were going for our 3rd consecutive title, Iโd very much have the cigar out.

19th January 2020 at 7:08 pm #61017AnonymousSean, I accept your caution. I was only clarifying whether someone is actually being literal (cause the phrase is over-used… and incorrectly as far as Im concerned )
Mikus, can’t agree more and thats the basis for my reasoning for why Im “only” accepting it now. The other lads on here haven’t had the 2 bitter failures of recent times and they havent had this insane City team to fight against. Pre-Pep City was inferior… now though I think … THINK he’s struggling. who knows tho. One week he looks so upset, the next week they score 6 goals.
i just don’t think they have the legs to win every remaining game. We will likely have a blip but it’d have to be pretty big now after this weekend, so as much as I respect your opinions lads, you hopefully at least accept mine.
I won’t be popping the champagne. I’m not counting chickens. I’m applying my own brand of critical thinking and it’s telling me that it’s done. If I’m wrong then I’m wrong. I am quite certain now though.

19th January 2020 at 7:09 pm #61018Mak, let’s not go there again.
I’ve said on numerous occasions why I understand Liverpool fans not agreeing the title is won even today.
You lads have an emotional attachment to the Club that opposition fans don’t who can be more objective plus you’ve all seen it slip away before.
The most important thing for all Liverpool fans is that both the Liverpool players and Klopp won’t accept it’s won until it is mathematically won.
The main point of my post however was whether Liverpool can go the whole season unbeaten. Be a brave man to bet against it!?
