29th October 2018 at 9:52 pm #27697Not the embarrassment I thought it would be, and SPuds looked quite good in patches, certainly not the thrashing we’ve become accustomed too… nevermind, another game Wednesday, bring on the spammers…

29th October 2018 at 9:53 pm #27698Good 3 points for City but not a good City performance.

29th October 2018 at 10:06 pm #27699Good three points.
Couldnt stand the last 10 mins.
How did Lamella miss? Did the ball bobble on the pitch.
Neither side could control the ball as well as normal._____________________________

29th October 2018 at 10:13 pm #27700AnonymousI actually donβt think the pitch played a big part. Most the mistakes from weird defensive positions where there were no issues. Most passing was fine.

30th October 2018 at 3:24 pm #27708Adlab..agree..Lamella miss was bad, particularly late in the game, however Silva, Augerro and Sterling should each have netted with there chances. A deserved win even if it was scrappy, I would like to see plenty of changes for Fulham game and our strongest team for Southampton

30th October 2018 at 4:09 pm #27710Nine, yeh enjoyed the discussion at the end. It’s below for anyone who missed it. Whilst Neville was the more sensible and pragmatic, Carra rightly pointed out that Spurs had to seize the opportunity of having this manager and these players – these things don’t come along very often and the question will be for the Spurs fans, so what if we get a new stadium if you lose this manager and players without winning anything? But I guess the board (unless anyone knows different) thought they’d use Poch’s abilities to help build a new stadium from the revenues he was helping to bring in rather than bring in silverware.

30th October 2018 at 4:11 pm #27711AnonymousNever expected anything and got exactly that, that was possibly our worst starting X1 I’ve seen for a few years. Others have said it and I agree Trippier and Davies are not good enough, Dier continues to do nothing (Wanyama must be in Poch’s do not play notebook) but starts every game. It’s sad when Disco was our best player for running fast, our first choice X1 is competative but when Jan, Christian E , Rose and Dele don’t start we are average.
We have gone backwards the last 18 months and with the “almost built” stadium hanging over us I can’t see Spurs signing the type of player who will take the team to the next level. I reckon Mo was spun a big fecking porky by Levy ,” the transfer budget is there and ringfenced ,now sign here ” If that is the case I could see him giving Baldy two fingers and leaving for a club that would support him in the transfer market.
I think I got away with one by turning down a Β£2200 season ticket ._____________________________

30th October 2018 at 5:44 pm #27713TBA, Spurs should have got something from that game imo. Not one of City’s best performances but most importantly they took the points. I know City have only conceded 3 goals all season which is fantastic but that wasn’t reflected in how they played defendively last night.

30th October 2018 at 7:17 pm #27714Decent game considering how awful the pitch was.
3 really tough away games and 7 points. They will run away with this league soon enough

30th October 2018 at 8:06 pm #27715If Liverpool get eliminated from the CL and City progress but with tough draws that would give Liverpool a real chance.
But I think Liverpool need to be 100% focused on just the League and if they can avoid significant injuries you just never know Sean.

30th October 2018 at 8:15 pm #27716I just think
City are to good nine mate. Look at the bench last nightChelsea winning well without hazard aswell. I really wouldnβt write them off
They have really only played badly in one half and that was againest utd

30th October 2018 at 8:29 pm #27718I didn’t think City were great last night Sean but the pitch might have played it’s part but winning away like that on a poor pitch when you’re not at your best is the mark of Champions.
Chelsea have suprised even me and I think they will get better as Sarri’s tactics become more ingrained second nature. Still short of a striker though but if Sarri could solve that stranger things have happened and most of the players have been there and done it before but the bookies rarely get it wrong and the odds below suggests Chelsea are a third place long shot.
Manchester City
2/5
Liverpool
11/4
Chelsea
14/1_____________________________

30th October 2018 at 8:56 pm #27719I just think Chelsea have done it before with a good few of these players and weβre surley completely wrote off by the bookies when they lost 3-0 To aresnal early in contes tenure.
Just canβt see past city though. Liverpool have had 3 title challenges in 28 years. Lack of expierence which catch up with us in the end like it had in the last two cup finals

30th October 2018 at 10:12 pm #27721Interesting that Guardiola says City aren’t title contenders like Liverpool and Chelsea and had to improve. Improve where? If Guardiola feels that City are not contenders, i really need a piece of what he is smoking. The title is City’s to lose.

31st October 2018 at 3:22 am #27722AnonymousCM no need to overdramatise we all know City will win it comfortably at the end. It’s obvious Pep uses that physocolgy to keep his players down to earth. Any other easy questions?

31st October 2018 at 8:06 am #27723Moos, no need to be so smart mate. Chelsea man just getting involved in the conversation
City are just to good. Defence is very solid
Liverpool need a trophy and Iβd take the fa Cup all day long and a top 3 finish. Itβs a pity that we are up againest shoukd a good city side as I think we would have a genuine chance of the league but they are just to solid
Really happy with our progress. This time last season we had 16 points scored 17 goals and conceded 16
Now we have 26 points, scored 20 goals and conceded 4.
Fabhino is getting going now. Shaqiri has been very good. Keeper has done well. Gomez is a different player. Keita is still has to get up to pace. There is no doubt we are going the right way but we need a cup.
