True enough… lesser of two weevil’s and all that… to be fair though, it’s still a hard job cheering for the Spam-boys… not overly happy about the situation!

8th April 2019 at 1:56 pm #37020Can anybody explain Ozil? He just disappears in games. Particularly in tough away games. Β£300,000 a week! Alongside Sanchez-a complete waste of money! Off to China for both of em,plus a few more from United & Arse!!!

8th April 2019 at 2:48 pm #37023AnonymousIt’s a matter of character, not what salary they are paid. Ozil has many talents but he’s lacking in mentality it seems. it’s not his fault, he can only try to do the best he can with what he has. The thing is, his other vast talents have gotten him to this level. Even though he’s probably not the player he once was, he’s still at an extremely high level, in the grand scheme of things.
It’s not that he’s an abnormally lazy or weak minded individual, it’s that only the absolute best of will and talent reach this level.

8th April 2019 at 3:09 pm #37024Ozil scored the winning goal in a German Cup Final has played for Real Madrid and won La Liga and the Copa del Rey has won 3 FA Cups and the World Cup.
The majority of players will fall well short of that he’s just not an up and down all action player which you sometimes need in difficult away games at Clubs like Everton etc.

8th April 2019 at 4:15 pm #37027Nine, I was going to mention something along those lines re your last Para from 3:09.
The Manager has to integrate the player into the system, and the player has to adapt from what’s required of him.
I’ve never felt Ozil as somebody that was an out and out box to box type of player, but somebody more attack-minded.
Away from home, he just seems less influential.
Gunners are definitely short of 2 quality midfielders.

8th April 2019 at 8:29 pm #37038Iβve always thought thereβs a real player in loftus cheek. Huge potential there but he needs to start fulfilling it now

8th April 2019 at 8:47 pm #37040A goal from Hazard that Messi would have been proud of.

8th April 2019 at 8:56 pm #37043Terrible decision by the Referee you won’t see a more blatant penalty. I guess that evens up the offside goal v Cardiff.?

8th April 2019 at 9:25 pm #37047It’s the way he runs at the defenders and using his instep to weave through space and remain balanced at speed that impresses me the most about this.

8th April 2019 at 9:52 pm #37048A microcosm of our season a hatful of wasted chances and yet more brilliance from Hazard. Top team in London now. At least temporarily! ?

8th April 2019 at 9:58 pm #37049That is just sheer brilliance tonight from Eden.
Be a difficult battle for us Sunday and here’s hoping there’s no injuries picked up from tomorrow night.

8th April 2019 at 10:09 pm #37050If that first goal from Hazard tonight is not goal of the season there’s something wrong.

9th April 2019 at 6:11 am #37052Brilliant from Hazard and, for me, he is the main reason why I can’t see Chelsea missing out on the top 4. Looking more and more likely now that Spurs and Chelsea have done enough over the course of the season.

9th April 2019 at 6:47 am #37053AnonymousDon’t think Chelsea will make the top 4 they have to play Liverpool and United and Leicester away don’t think they have enough to win these games maybe a draw at Leicester.

9th April 2019 at 8:15 am #37057Chelsea have got themselves back in the hunt for a CL place thanks to three straight wins and the other 3 teams slipping up but they still face the significant task of Liverpool and United away in their remaining 5 games and will probably need to get something from both games to have a realistic chance of gaining CL football via a top 4 place.
I still think Spurs are the best placed with 4 of their 6 games at home and that it’s a straight fight between Chelsea, United and Arsenal for the 4th spot.
Here’s hoping.?

9th April 2019 at 11:38 am #37062Hazard is a special player
Very tough game on Sunday for both teams
Why did Chelsea play last night when they have a game Thur and Sunday?
Bit unfair really. Why not play day or even Sunday? Sky not doing them any favors there
Iβm hoping tiredness might creep in for them Sunday but itβs nearly 5 years to the day of Gerardβs slip when we play them.
City played palace that day and won aswell.
Could be a bad omen

9th April 2019 at 1:40 pm #37072Sean, the mind boggles mate as to why Chelsea have to play these three games between Monday and Sunday maybe Daniel Levy or Stan Kroenke fixed the schedule.?
I suspect that the baulk of the team that play Prague won’t line up v Liverpool. But they will travel and it’s far from ideal for Chelsea and City too.
