2nd November 2019 at 8:17 pm #51677AnonymousInteresting. Firmino is actually onside there. How can they explain that?

2nd November 2019 at 8:19 pm #51678Anonymous“Iβve always stuck by the thought in Decisions leveling themselves out over the course of the season.”
I don’t know why this myth is perpetuated by pretty much everyone. It’s absolutely not true and never was.

2nd November 2019 at 8:31 pm #51681Just to confirm the farce…

2nd November 2019 at 8:40 pm #51682Bit Like Life and Football, Mak, you get Good Days and Bad Days.
You know me Man, I’d have reacted 9/10 differently had we lost, but then again, I wouldn’t want to stress myself as We’d still be Top, but with a Reduced Margin of points.
That 11 millimetres still sticks with me Mak from last season, because it presents the Ramifications in Liverpool missing out on the Title by 1 point.
I’d say from a Football Fans POV, Ramifications could result to a team being Relegation so it’s Vital, VAR are Corrective Every-time!
Cheers

2nd November 2019 at 8:42 pm #51683It was a bad decision but no suprise from
AtkinsonIt should have been a goal.
Still, massive win today and Ox made a difference when he came on

2nd November 2019 at 9:02 pm #51688I totally agree here with Mak. Decisions do not level out over the season. Thats the excuse for having to accept crucial poor decisions such as for us, the so-called hand ball v Spurs denying us a win and two points.

2nd November 2019 at 9:02 pm #51689I think Klopp has sensed a pattern and some sort of ‘Formula’.
I’d have to add though, the ‘mystery’ of Xherdan Shaqiri. I haven’t seen him Play.
Those fellas are Top Guys in Adam Lallana, Naby Keita and Oxlaid Chamberlain.
With Divock Origi, I trust in this being a Sound Extension to help us.
Just one slight ‘glitch’ – No Ronny Rosenthal lol π
Kenny Dalglish – Liverpool Football Club 1990

2nd November 2019 at 9:38 pm #51691“Spurs denying us a win and two points”
That was all Legit.
Are you Alex Ferguson trying to be Only Manchester City?
Why don’t you for once in your life be a Sportsman?
Maybe Accept Liverpool can Win something too, not just Manchester City, Other-wise, you ARE no Different to your ‘Salford Rags’.

2nd November 2019 at 11:30 pm #51694From what Iβm reading we dominated the game & deserved to win. Seen the Firmino incident & think he was on side.
Adlabs a predictable but funny lad. Whilst itβs all tight & city are behind heβs very negative & non complimentary to Liverpool but you watch his demeanour change if/when city get in front, heβll be very complimentary about how good Liverpool are & what a great season it has been.
Sad to see manu lose, NOT, they were starting to look like they were on the up & no one but them wants that.
Chelsea getting the cookies is also a worry, Imagine them being able to buy some top quality to go with their young guns, theyβll be right up there.
Take care all._____________________________

3rd November 2019 at 12:44 am #51695AnonymousNil, I totally get your position on this and it’s generally the case that mistakes that could have cost your side but didnt, are lesser problems. I’m a bit of a different guy in some regards. Maybe it ties into what i said about how things don’t balance out. The “balancing out” is really just the assurance of a continued mess of mistakes, to the point where the water is unclear.
I don’t buy into grand conspiracy but I also don’t deny the possibility for corruption. However, that’s not what is on my mind in this situation. What is on my mind though is that VAR is beginning to fail at the most basic level. That’s a little bit of hyperbole, if you headlined that statement but there’s no doubt that Firmino is onside there, so why wasn’t he judged to be so?
We’ve encountered a situation that is straight forward enough to really question the legitimacy of this technology. I am still pro-VAR but I am growing tired of the bungling of it and even though we still won and it didn’t matter in the end, it could have. This nonsense will affect other games going forward.
it’s just utter madness though that with this tech, we can;t even determine that a player was in fact onside.
I was about to say that everyone watching this knows it was onside, except the ref… but that’s presumptuous. What say ye? On or off?

3rd November 2019 at 12:46 am #51696AnonymousOz, Adlab does get owned by his own bias however in fairness to him, he remarked on the Firmino situation, saying it looked like a perfectly good goal.

3rd November 2019 at 12:49 am #51697Anonymous“These minuscule offsides are farcical in the context of the nature of the game. Thereβs no other word for them. ”
That’s the thing. Even if it were a case of him being say a few cms off, i’d prefer them to give attackers advantage after say 3 seconds of looking at it, instead if stopping play and waiting 30 to see if he had shaved that morning.
I’ve said this about non liverpool related goals. this isnt a bias thing. Im all for VAR, I am just not all for the people “implementing” it.

3rd November 2019 at 11:23 am #51727Look forward to it without controversy and dubious decisions whoever they are for.
I do worry about our lack of defence so we will have to command the midfield as much as possible and watch out for the long balls.Hope its a good game. We are due a result at your place!

3rd November 2019 at 11:27 am #51729On the offside what is needed is a sensible xefinition of “in line”.
For example if any part of the attackers body coincides with the defender he is inline and onside. What do you think?

3rd November 2019 at 11:28 am #51730AnonymousGiven how tricky both our attackers are in and around the box, I’d say there is a good chance of a controversial penalty.

3rd November 2019 at 11:35 am #51732Mane got booked yesterday for diving and a perfect goal ruled out. There’s definitely no favouritism towards one team. I had great hopes for VAR, but now I’m starting to lose faith.
