29th December 2017 at 10:01 pm #10420Is it a coincidence that both Matins Indi and Shawcross are missing for the second game we face them? Hughes mind game or what? 3-4-3 for this one. Courtois, Azpi-Christensen- Cahill,
Moses-Fabregas-Kante-Alonso,
Willian -Morata – Hazard._____________________________

30th December 2017 at 11:49 am #10446Tuning into the Radio for Celtic-Rangers 12:00 – that’ll be an interesting one.
Wonder if Gers can cause an upset!

30th December 2017 at 11:54 am #10447Stoke are sort of in between as a couple of wins would steer them closer if not mid-table, but on the other hand, a defeat this afternoon could see them plummet towards the foot of the table.
Not good if Chelsea were to win and score heavily too. I could see pressure mounting on Hughes and it just goes to show how wide open yet marginally close this league is top to toe aside Man City.

30th December 2017 at 1:37 pm #10464Nil, are you sure Stoke are currently 3 points off the bottom 3 and 17 points off of a Europa League place.
Given Stokes form and injuries I would be bitterly disappointed if Chelsea don’t take 3 points today. But “it’s a funny old game Saint”.?

30th December 2017 at 1:51 pm #10468Nine, they are, but they are also a couple of wins or ‘A’ win from being more closer to the middle of the table.
Anything upto 8th place Leicester is almost a level playing field which shows from that point of view how evenly balanced the PL is. But that can put a bit of a strain on the Managers of teams not too far off the foot of the table.
The problem for them is that those boys upstairs don’t have the patience and thus the number of sackings we’ve had so far this season, though one could argue the case of changes needed and you only have to look in both the directions of Everton and Palace to see why.
Maybe it’s time up for Mark Hughes, maybe not.

30th December 2017 at 2:16 pm #10470What ! no Hazard in the starting line up? on the day that there was debate in his Chelsea future? is it a coincidence or there is something that we don’t know? i hope its the former and Hazard is rested for the Arsenal game.

30th December 2017 at 2:21 pm #10472CMan, players can’t play in every game every three days it’s just rotation mate with Arsenal to come on Wednesday. Bakayoko, Christensen and Fabregas are also on the bench with Hazard.

30th December 2017 at 2:51 pm #10473Strong line up for us – slight disagreement ala Wijn and Can, but Can is a little bit more vocal and we need some of his hustle and bustle. Hope though he can stick to his position play to support the back 4.
Time to get the box on 🙂

30th December 2017 at 3:19 pm #10475Stoke 2-0 down at Chelsea.Hughes is getting slaughtered by the pundits on BTSport
for picking a weakend team. They reckon he’s saving his better players for
the next game at home to Newcastle.Liverpool 1-0 down at home to Leicester

30th December 2017 at 4:57 pm #104835 nil is a good way for the Champions to end the year Chelsea won’t catch City this season but they might catch United in 2nd place.
45 points is 4 points less for Chelsea than at the same stage last season but still trailing City by 13 points when City still have a game in hand shows just how good City have been this season simply blowing everyone else away.

30th December 2017 at 5:00 pm #10484Well i have to say i have got no complain about that performance today. we had been superb and 3 of our 4 summer signings have found the net. 5 goals scored without reply, 4 successive clean-sheet. sky is the limit. and a couple of my predictions were spot on.

30th December 2017 at 5:10 pm #10486To be honest i was expecting a Liverpool win. anything short of that would have been disappointment. on current form and being at home, it was always an uphill task for Leicester to deny Liverpool.

30th December 2017 at 5:15 pm #10489Lost my accas today just under a tenner, but no patch on what’s been a delightful and jubilant afternoon claiming all 3 points – great patience and turnaround from the Reds a huge win for us to end 2018.
Going back to bets, no doubt Swansea’s turnaround would have caused an upset – didn’t see that coming.

30th December 2017 at 6:02 pm #10492Good but hard earned win for the Reds against Leicester, VVD can’t come in quick enough to help plug the Holes in our defence, Salah is just on Fire at the Moment and another Brace to add to the collection, Leicester had their moments and looked dangerous at times but thankfully We held out.
