Wise fan, having heard your views on Mourinho for more than three years you don’t have to convince me about how you feel about him mate. You had me in year one.?

6th January 2018 at 9:29 pm #11329c.m, I don’t know, but as a club Chelsea need to start going in a direction, if we now start doing that and attracting managers that have a shared philosophy then there will be the trust. I personally would not be keen giving a manager £200-300m if I’d been bitten as many times as Chelsea have. In short it’s a trust issue.
Keep bringing in successful managers is all well and good if you happy with a boom and bust philosophy, but I think Man City are showing how to invest in a long term strategy…Pagan

6th January 2018 at 9:29 pm #11330cm, not strictly true mate lots of major European club’s have Sporting Directors and operate the same way as Chelsea and not all of the players purchased during Conte’s tenure have been against his wishes.

6th January 2018 at 9:46 pm #11336Pagan-
Agree with that. I guess we have to wait and see what happens with Chelsea.
9-
That is true. That goes hand in hand with what Pagan said earlier in regards to City. City have adopted a European ethos. The only thing different is the manager has the final say at City. I cannot see the likes of Walker, Silva, Jesus etc being signed without Pep having the final say. English football clubs in general are run differently to the likes of Bayern, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Conte may have got a few of his targets, from the sounds of things he was thrown players to him without him having a say.
In general I believe Chelsea are taking a massive risk with Conte. He is one of a few managers out there that has a vision in what he wants with his football club. He is like Klopp and Pep and has a philosophy. You know what to expect from the likes of Ancelotti, Jose etc who come across as stopgap managers.

I was alone in that view in the past. Now more and more Chelsea and rival fans have joined the badwagon. And only a quater of United fans are defending him. And i feel vindicated considering how much i was ridiculed when i said he is finished in 2013. Anyway its United’s problem now. And i took great satisfaction from his meltdown ?. Sit back and enjoy as long as he is not involving Chelsea.

6th January 2018 at 9:55 pm #11341cm, tbh I think Conte should have the final say on ins and outs but I get why the club have done it like they have. Conte doesn’t buy into not having the final world I’ll be surprised if he’s still at Chelsea past the Summer. Unfortunately.

6th January 2018 at 10:11 pm #11345“He was a little man in the past, he is a little man in the present and he will be in the future.
“He is not my problem, I consider him a very little man with very low profile. I remember for example with Ranieri.
“He offended Ranieri for his English, then when Ranieri was sacked he put a shirt with his name on. This shows you are a fake.”
Antonio Conte 06/01/2018
Well well things are getting hotter and hotter by the day. Conte has responded. Stay tunned for Mourinho’s response on Friday.

6th January 2018 at 11:16 pm #11358What did Pep Gardiola do at half-time after his team were just a goal down? I’ve seen youtube videos of his and he solemnly looks like he’s on Coke. And you wonder why his ‘Weight’ is trim. He is is fucking phony. Never liked him and will be glad the day he ships himself out of here. Jurgen Klopp is worth one Trillion of him.

6th January 2018 at 11:47 pm #11368Oh yes, and we will have you at Anfield. Vigil Van Dijk will play. And my guy will play his defensive tactics (secretly). He’ll fear Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp is THE BETTER ONE.

7th January 2018 at 12:01 am #11372Clearly you haven’t watched much of City this season Nil. I dont think Pep fears anyteam. Should be a be good game and I will be very dissapointed if we dont come away with all three points. Especially as you have just sold your best player!

7th January 2018 at 12:08 am #11373CM, in the words of Nine to put it lightly, he’s a Plum. I really do miss Manuel Pellegrini. A Gentleman and I liked him. Loved 2014 re Rodgers. Manchester City were first class and that was down to him; Fantastic Team to be Runners Up to.
I hate Pep. Don’t trust the guy, but that’s just my tender viewpoint.
Jim, look forward to next Sunday.

7th January 2018 at 12:12 am #11374Have to agree with you Nil. Bring back Pellegrini, definitely a class act and City should sack Pep now and look in to bringing back another gentleman in Mark Hughes. Not being biased as I am just looking out for City here.

7th January 2018 at 12:33 am #11381Agree about chucky. CM always stood for Chucky McChuckface, but he had to take it didnt he. It is not because I want some karma points, I am genuinely upset. I have not been the same since.

7th January 2018 at 7:43 am #11387“There are priorities to improve the team, in certain roles, and I think in this situation, the best way is to speak with the club in the right moment and give my opinion to improve the team.
“I tell the club which is the role we can improve, the prospects of the player, the characteristics of the players we need and then the club will try to help me. There isn’t just one list, there’s two, three lists and sometimes you can’t get the first name on the list.
“Sometimes the club can make you happy, sometimes not, but it doesn’t change for me because my commitment is always the same. I try to work very hard with my players on the pitch.
“In this transfer window, if we sign some new players then I’ll be very happy, especially if the players are in these certain roles.” Antonio Conte.
