5th January 2018 at 10:47 am #11101There are plenty of classy managers who have been successful, Ferguson, Wenger and Mourinho are hated cause of the way they behave. Its not necessary to act they way the do just to be successful, they were probably brought up like that by their parents or early life influences.

5th January 2018 at 2:49 pm #11122Wenger accusses Hazard of a dive and at the same time he ignores the dive of his goal scorer who shouldn’t have been on the pitch to score that goal. What a hypocrite he is ! The decision is only bad when he is against his team. But when it favours him its good and legitimate.

5th January 2018 at 2:55 pm #11123CMan, Wenger has made a career of only seeing what he wants to see mate.
I think he’s heading for a touchline ban maybe even a Stadium ban for his 2nd rant in a few days against the Referee.

5th January 2018 at 3:50 pm #11129I wonder what teams like Stoke, Southampton Bristol City, Huddersfield etc etc when they face Mourinho’s team, all that money they have against what they have. Always two sides to a coin. Jose, in his own way tries to de satbalise those above him, in other words the same old mind games, when he looses he will move on to the next project

5th January 2018 at 7:21 pm #11148I thought it was Mouriho who fired the first shot on Thursday. When he said ” because i don’t behave like a clown in the touchline doesn’ t mean that i have lost the passion”. Then Conte only reminded him what he has done at Oldtrafford in 2004, and Camp Nou in 2007 and 2010.

5th January 2018 at 8:22 pm #11150Mourinho can be a prize plum and a complete Arsenal all at the same time which is a shame because it detracts from his undoubted managerial ability.
Unfortunately Mourinho’s current persona somewhat reflects the end of both his tenures at Chelsea and the end of his tenure at Real Madrid.
There was absolutely no reason for Mourinho to cast the dispersions he has and clearly it was partly aimed at Conte but whilst Conte had every right to point out that Mourinho has forgotten his own previous actions on and around the line.
But I think Conte went too far in suggesting senile dementia and it merely pours oil on already troubled waters..

5th January 2018 at 8:34 pm #11152Mav, fully welcome your thoughts mate. I remember from my days in working in Birmingham knowing a Manager I worked with who was an Arsenal Supporter it stemmed effectively from then the argument of Viera not being addressed.
He has served, won trophies, brought in beautiful football and players, but as you quite rightly point out, supporters for many years have been left to feel short-changed.
Cheers

How has Conte went too far? this disgusting individual has labelled him a clown? and then he responded accordingly. i don’t see anything wrong with that. Mourinho is finished as a top manager his disease his Pep and Conte. he feels they are getting the plaudits, and rightfully so as they have done something to justify. he is a bitter man and will leave England as a bitter man. i remember back in 2016 when he was appointed one United fan asked us Chelsea fans what it is like to be managed by Mourinho. and my response was that expect half of the squad to be alienated, and he should be walking out 18 months, well if he walks out this summer i only missed 6 months. I can’t see any top team going anywhere near this individual. the sooner he leaves the league the better for. he won’t fill the Ferguson shoes and he knows that. that is why he is trying to blame everyone.

5th January 2018 at 9:29 pm #11161Wise fan, I’m not saying Conte wasn’t provoked or that he didn’t have the right to respond but Senile Dementia is an awful illness I lost my Mother to it and I think what Conte said was a bridge to far.

5th January 2018 at 9:37 pm #11165Very sorry to hear that 999, R.I.P to your mother. like you i felt Conte could have just let it go. but when someone constantly provokes you, its difficult to contain your emotions. let us hope Conte restrains himself the next time has a press conference. and on the positive side, his fights would Mourinho may motivate him to stay at Chelsea. who knows that? fingers crossed.

5th January 2018 at 10:57 pm #11176“I don’t blame him.
“The press should apologise to me and him. Question was completely wrong and because of that, out of control reaction. I was speaking about myself”.
“I don’t need the Chelsea manager to say I made mistakes in the past and will in future. What I will say is I will never be banned for match fixing.”Jose Mourinho 05/01/2018
It seems that this storm won’t die easily. i expect an other response from Conte. what is Mourinho in to? does he want to derail our season by distracting Antonio Conte? is Antonio Conte a threat to his hopes of landing the PSG job? does he feel that Conte is getting a lot of plaudits and is liked by the press and is jealous about that? something isn’t right within Mourinho’s head.

5th January 2018 at 11:12 pm #11177I would add that Conte will never be charged for Tax evasion. says the man who dodges to pay tax, should have the guts to speak about a manager who hasn’t been directly accused of match fixing and subsequently cleared by a court. but Tax evasion is something that a court of law has charged Mourinho in Spain.

6th January 2018 at 12:26 am #11179As I predicted “pouring oil on already troubled waters” only adds to the problem and look where it’s gone now.
The FA need to step in and put a stop to all this nonsense right now!

6th January 2018 at 1:42 am #11182Well the press have got a lot to answer for, especially the journalist who brought the question towards Conte and the numerous news outlets who ran the story that Jose was having a dig at Klopp and Conte. Anyone who actually saw the press conference and not go by the cherry picked quotes the media used, Jose was actually talking about himself. He was saying how he acted like a clown when he was a younger manager, but now has matured a bit more and does not need to behave like a clown after being questioned about his lack of passion or goal celebration. He was not aiming a dig at anyone but himself in regards to his past passionate antics, Conte press conference today suggested he did not know that because he oddly aimed a dig about Jose’s past. What does the media do? Stir the hornets nest, headlines of Jose attacking Conte and Klopp etc. Conte the poor soul gets baited by the journalist, using a unnecessary dig and now it has turned in to tit for tat with Jose being Jose retaliating.
