PPT- Fair enough. I thought you meant within the last 5 years.
In regards to your full backs comment, imo they have been key for a few decades now. With Irwin, Neville at United, from Brown, Evra. Ashley Cole, Finnan, Riise and the great Cafu and Roberto Carlos.

9th January 2018 at 12:31 am #11712“As a group of players, not just me, we all took note of how good he was right from the start,” Terry told The Coaches’ Voice.
“And not just on the training pitch, but away from it too. On the mental side.
“On reflection, there was a couple of times I was injured, not available for a couple of games coming up.
“Jose would come in, he wouldn’t even speak to me in the treatment room.
“He’d go around and speak to everybody, and walk out of the room and leave me.
“I swear, as captain of the football club, I was there thinking: “Why has he not spoken to me?”
“I said to the physio: “I’m training tomorrow. I can’t have the manager not speaking to me.”
JT’s view of Mourinho.

9th January 2018 at 10:27 am #11745I think Chelseaman makes a good point you have to separate the man from the Coach Mourinho was and still is one of the best coaches in World football and he hasn’t lost that ability overnight.
It’s only just two years since Mourinho won his third PL title and last season he won the Europa League and the League Cup so I don’t get all this Mourinho has lost it now.
He’s taken over arguably the biggest club in the world who were a mess squad wise right back to the last couple of years of SAF’s tenure and everyone is trailing City currently and Pep as good as he is inherited a much stronger squad than Mourinho although he has recruited well this Summer.
I am sure Mourinho would be the first one to acknowledge he hasn’t got his recruitment policy 100% correct at United but going forwards they have a great spine to build on with De Gea, Bailly, Matic, Pogba and Lukaku and unfortunately he will get it right in the end because a lot of money will be thrown at it to make it happen.

9th January 2018 at 3:15 pm #11809“He used serious words, said serious words. I won’t forget this.
“I have this look of a person that regrets? I don’t think so. We have both said things and we will see what happens in the future.”
Asked if the League Managers’ Association (LMA) should now step in to try to repair the damage between Conte and Mourinho, the Chelsea boss said: “I think it’s not important, the association, you understand. It’s not important.
“This is not a problem for the club, it’s a problem between me and him. Now I stop. Stop.”
Antonio Conte from his press conference today hopefully his last sentence is fulfilled
