8th January 2018 at 8:48 pm #11665If Conte goes as some are predicting at the end of the season. then if i was given privilege to join who succeeds. then my number one target would have been Klopp. its almost impossible to get that option. then my second preferred option is Carlo. i can’t see any better alternative who could cost us zero money. as for Mourinho, i think he will do better at Chelsea than at United. the United job is like a poison. it kills who ever goes close. Moyes, LVG and now Mourinho is suddenly struggling? i don’t think if we will take any risk with those so called young and up coming managers. also Mourinho on current form is no for me. we can’t afford another controversy and negative press.
But that said, i hope we retain our current manager as we don’t have better alternative. Just picture this if Mourinho back to Chelsea happen. and we have our friend Wise-fan there? it would be the most comic movie ever made. but its a shame he chose to leave as nobody chase him. the Editor confirmed it that it was Wise-fan who requested his account to be deleted.

8th January 2018 at 9:31 pm #11681Thanks for taking the time to reply Pagan.C Man and especially Nine
I think your summary nailed it for me nine.I personally think he’s
not been the same since Madrid. As for him being a world class coach now ? I’d disagree with that.He
might of been a long time ago.You can’t argue with his CV granted.
But the baggage and trauma that he brings with it makes him a non
starter for big jobs nowadays for me.He’s still playing the same brand of football now. That he won the league
with Chelsea in 2004.That was fourteen years ago.The game has evolved again
since then.If you would of told me even five years ago. That Fullbacks were
going to be one of the most important positions in the future.I’d of laughed
at you._____________________________

8th January 2018 at 9:42 pm #11688PPT, Jose was ideal for Chelsea first time around, we were desperate to win the league, didn’t matter how, we just had to.
From then on Jose went to clubs where they wanted more than just to win, they wanted style as well, that pressure to perform on two fronts has taken its toll on Jose character in a negative way.
What he needs is a rich club starved of success where winning anything is the most important thing, not sure where that could be, but it’s what he needs to get his mojo back, and hopefully his charisma…Pagan

I have to partly disagree in regards to Jose. Jose is a winner and always has been. He has won trophies where ever he has gone. Even during probably his worst season as a manager with the exception of his final year at Chelsea, he won 2 trophies. His final season at Chelsea first time round he won a trophy. There are managers who have not won as many trophies within the last 5 years than Jose has and are considered a success.
What I do agree with is the manager he is now. Something happened at Real Madrid, where he changed. It was the first time in his career that players went behind his back, some players even leaking team news and tactics to the press ahead of big games. He just became insecure and paranoid, the man who once ruled with a iron fist wherever he went, was being belittled and disrespected by his own staff. It is like it broke him and he has not been able to trust anyone outside his close circle since.

We need to separate two things here first thing first. we need to separate Mourinho the coach from Mourinho the individual. i prefer Mourinho the manager over Mourinho the individual. like some has already said. there is no doubt that he is a world-class coach. because City is running away with the league doesn’t make him a second class coach. throughout his career he has been a world-class coach but with bad reputation and self destructive button as 999 put it. if you separate that from his achievement, you will find a manager who is a born winner. the fact that no manager has won more trophies than him in the last 15 years says a lot. its pity that he is busy with destructive things than what he has done throughout his career which was to win.
Alot of people have jumped to the conclusion and has written him off. put i’m not among those people. when he left Madrid most people has written him off. the came back stronger and won the Premier league title. how many managers do that? only Ferguson have won more PL titles than Mourinho. i don’t like Mourinho the individual, but i like Mourinho the coach. this season Pep has nailed the Premier title. but next season let us see what happens. i won’t surprised if Mourinho wins the league for United. but one thing i can’t guarantee you is that he won’t last United more than 3 years.

Even after he left Madrid he kept on winning trophies. so you can’t knock him down. one league title, two league cups and a Europa league isn’t bad. but your suggestion was that Mourinho isn’t a world-class manager. a suggestion that i completely reject and disagree with. and like i said before. when world class players are measured they are judged on their goals and how they deliver both domestically and in Europe. similarly the managers will be judged on their CV both domestically and in Europe. and you can’t get a better CV than that of Mourinho.

8th January 2018 at 10:41 pm #11700CMan.You’ve drifted way off base mate.
Firstly.I can’t separate people. They’re one of the same. The manager is the coach.
When you replied you said you didn’t want JM back. Not you want the coach.
But not the individual. We’ll have to disagree on him currently been world class.
This has got nothing to do with Pep from my side of the City.
Btw we haven’t won anything yet pal 🙂Imo the manager is the figurehead of the club.Already in the press up here.
Some are likening the situation since before Xmas to his meltdown at Chelsea
second time around.Maybe what tother CM said about what happened to him at Madrid
has played a part in him nowadays ? Don’t forget all the PSG stuff came from him.In
a french tv/magazine interview.I get your loyalty to him for the trophies he’s brought.

Still you haven’t justified why you don’t consider him a world-class coach. like i said before, if you separate the individual from the coach. then you will find a born serial winner who is world class. his attitude is what is holding him back from dominating the world football.
