Festive Football – Gameweek 15

Very true Brian defending is part of the game as much as attacking is and a well drilled defence like we saw from Newcastle last night is very interesting.

There is no way that Clubs like Newcastle will open up against the likes of City and Liverpool and the challenge is to find a way through to try and grab the win.

There were no goals last night but there were enough goal mouth incidents and great saves in fact by both Keepers to make the game an entertaining watch.

Nike…I love my club as much as anybody but I go to watch a game of football from 11 players. I am an oddity now I clap when an opposition player does something well, maybe clap a bit harder when a a City player does something good but enjoy the game of football. It is different when you see 22 players not 11….try it!!!!

Brian, I understand what you mean. I would have more appreciation towards that result if we were 10 points clear. It’s preciousness when you’re striving for back to back success and it’s not been done by us, and it’s difficult.

Newcastle covered every inch of the grass; that intervention on Mane right on the goal line. They deserved something out of the game.

We can hope from our point of view, the others including United drop points to help us. It’s showing so far that nobody’s able to run away with it.

I am still old school, taking part is more important than the game itself whatever the sport but we are now in a different era where staying on your feet is seen to be wrong, hence the diva diving era. That did not originate in the UK but as the game became more global.

Nil, the point v Newcastle might be a very good point in the final analysis at the end of the season assuming the PL gets to the end of the season this season which given what’s happening with Covid is no certainty this time around.
