Festive Football – Gameweek 15

Results have been in good order for United and consistency. Solksjaer is in his 3rd year now. There seems to be more of a steady ship and you can’t begrudge them to be fair as they’ve not in previous seasons have been able to select properly a first 11 due to their own injury matters in players.

City missed La Porte last season and Vinny yet to be replaced.

Our problem is that every given centre-back first team is injured. Van Dijk was early doors. We had a hard combination of fixtures to begin with and a tricky run of late, and haven’t been consistent with our form, yet we are 3 only 3 points behind so maybe a glass half full and some perspective to take into context.

The next run of games could be telling, we shall just have to allow nature to take it’s course.

United on a good run and that builds confidence.

Nobody thought United would be where they are now not even United fans but that’s a reflection of a very topsy turvy season.

Be interesting to see whether United can stay in the hunt they’ve got the players to do so and if Leicester City won the PL title you can’t discount United winning the title this season blimey you can’t even discount Leicester City winning the PL title again this season.

Really sad news for Sol Bamba. Hateful disease!

“Cardiff manager Neil Harris has recalled the “very emotional” scenes at the club’s training ground when Sol Bamba revealed he had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The Ivory Coast defender – who turns 36 on Wednesday – has started chemotherapy and, in the words of cancer survivor Harris, has a “long journey” ahead of him.

But Bamba, who told his team-mates of his cancer diagnosis on Monday before the club released a public statement, wants to attend the training ground and Cardiff games as much as possible.

“It’s very sad news and hard-hitting for everybody within the training ground and football club, and within the fan base as well,” Harris said in a video interview released by the Sky Bet Championship club.

“It’s been a difficult week for everybody involved and I spoke to Sol regularly over the Christmas period when he first found out.

“We’ve got to a stage where he’s had time to take it in and find out where he’s at in terms of treatment for the cancer and what his next steps are.” Sky Sports 13/01

I wouldn’t have given that as a penalty. One of those if not given we would have said seen them given.
Why was Sterling taking the penalty instead of KDB,GUNDAGON OR Jesus?
