Fair comments nil mate.
Klopp doesn’t trust neco Williams as he brought on Milner last night at right back. He doesn’t trust Williams and Philips at cb either
We need to find the money or do something as we need our midfield players in midfield
Henderson was poor for their goal as he kept everyone on side. Inexperience of playing centre back
I agree we do miss jota. I really can’t see us doing much this season but I’m content. I never thought we would win the league again in my lifetime 😂. Whatever happens this season doesn’t really bother me
Football and the world is so bizarre at the minute that I don’t really get annoyed about a bad result. It is only football at the end of the day .

5th January 2021 at 12:57 pm #173319Interesting when compared to the title odds as the beginning of the season, Nine. City and Liverpool pretty much the same odds as they were before. United, Spurs & Leicester seem to be the biggest surprises amongst the teams towards the top. I think 3rd favourites is about right for Utd right now. Anything less is failure and I can’t see us getting higher than 3rd either.
Premier League 2020-21 odds
1st: Manchester City (4-5)
2nd: Liverpool (9-4)
3rd: Chelsea (10-1)
4th: Manchester United (16-1)
5th: Arsenal (33-1)
6th: Tottenham (50-1)
7th: Leeds (150-1)
8th: Leicester (150-1)
9th: Wolves (200-1)
10th: Everton (200-1)

5th January 2021 at 2:33 pm #173320Might be worth a punt on an outsider, especially Spurs at 14/1.

5th January 2021 at 2:35 pm #173321Wouldn’t disagree with any of that Ed but if you tracked back just a few weeks Liverpool were favourites and Chelsea were in third favourites and United fourth or fifth favourites.
I’m not surprised by the revised odds based on the last few weeks and like you I think they’re a good reflection of the current situation. It’s a moving feast.
If City can continue to play anything like they did on Sunday v Chelsea and if they can get Aguero fit and keep him fit combined with how strong their defence is they look to be justifiable favourites.
I wouldn’t rule United out of the title race though and I’m pretty sure they’ll make 3rd place at least and I certainly wouldn’t rule out Liverpool either. Cheers 9’s

5th January 2021 at 2:45 pm #173322Btw, when I said “anything less than 3rd is failure” I meant simply from a Utd perspective of making progress. Not that any team coming below 3rd has failed or that 3rd is any kind of success! Coming third while closing the gap on the top 2 would be progress for Utd is what I meant.
Yeah Mikus, both Leicester and Spurs are a tempting price considering they’re only a point behind Liverpool (assuming everyone wins their games in hand).
Nine, definitely. I won’t be putting any money on any title winners anyway in what is a very strange season for results. City clear favourites but anything can happen right down to Chelsea who are only 7 points behind.

5th January 2021 at 3:23 pm #173323I’m convinced that the strange results are largely down to the lack of crowds, combined of course with nonsense decisions.

5th January 2021 at 3:30 pm #173324Yeh Adlab, it’s psychologically very difficult to stay consistent without crowds. Add to that all teams are struggling with injuries and are struggling to field consistent teams. It really could be almost anyone’s this season.

5th January 2021 at 3:50 pm #173325In my mind there are 6 teams that could win the league, we will know in May, in the meantime all 6 are favourites…I do not need a “bookie”. just enjoy what could be a very exciting finale

5th January 2021 at 4:00 pm #173327Moos, that’s because we had a freak season last season in terms of pens due to adopting a very counter attacking style with such a quick forward line. A nightmare for defenders. As I keep reminding everyone, City are historically the team who get way more penalties than any other team. Also, your very own Chelsea Moos have had 1 less penalty than Utd this season.
Going back 10 years, you can see how many City get here.

6th January 2021 at 5:33 am #173343AnonymousI am sure every non united supporter barring the odd couple here and there will be supporting City tonight. A City win will be a great boost for the nation in these dire times.

6th January 2021 at 8:35 am #173344999, There’s some generous odds in there, Liverpool and United are well worth my 2s/6d and as for Chelsea at 33/1 that must be worth a few bob of your hard earned cash !!!! Spurs are tempting but it would be quicker to just pay for my bookie to have another month in Dubai.

6th January 2021 at 9:30 am #173349Well Mighty Moos, City supporters have decided to give Utd a belayed Christmas present and let you have this one since we have won it the last three times. I did not check with Pep before I said this though!!!!! A lot have supporters have derided the competition, now want to win it!!!! I must say in all honesty though at the begiining of the season I suggested the competition be dropped because of what I could see as a fixture pile up

6th January 2021 at 9:32 am #173350Ed…penalties are not the fault of the team but the REF or VAR, that is, if it is a fault in the first place. Statistics never tell the full story only the result

13th January 2021 at 11:59 am #173728Good win for United last night and a nice goal from Pogba. Sets up the game at Anfield nicely.
Bit of a log jam at the top of the table now.😊
Still think it’s between City and Liverpool with City looking a bit stronger currently.
The latest odds seem to reflect that too.

13th January 2021 at 1:16 pm #173734Utd are in much better shape then miveroool in my opinion . No injuries and momentum is firmly with them
Getting the rub of the green and the little 50/50 decisions but they are playing well abd deserve to be were they are .
Our approach to defending the title has been poor. Intensity and fight had disappeared. Everyone knew it was a huge risk not replacing Lovren and going into the season with just 3 centre backs and two who are injury prone.
Vvd has been a major loss and it’s crazy we have not addressed a new cb even on loan in jan. you find the money from somewhere as defending champions.
Bit disappointed with us to be honest. Few really tough games coming up and we might even struggle to get tool 4 if we continue playing like this

13th January 2021 at 3:00 pm #173743Sean, there are a number of reasons for Liverpool to fall from where they were and it’s very difficult to retain a title even without the injuries that Liverpool have suffered and the difficult circumstances of this season across the whole of the PL.
Liverpool are still a great team and they will return to form sooner rather than later and overcome their problems.
Re the Centre Back problems it’s difficult to find a suitable temporary solution it’s a bit less problematical to find a permanent solution but still tough in January. Reading between the lines Liverpool don’t want go for a short term solution but we’ll see.
Matip will be back soon and Matip and Fabinho have looked a very good pairing if Matip could stay fit which of course is unlikely which means you will need to utilise the back up Centre Backs.
I still think the title race will ultimately be close and the front runners entering the final furlong will be Liverpool and City.
I certainly wouldn’t write the chances of Liverpool retaining the title off winning the PL title this season will be even tougher than last and points totals aside a lot more meaningful too imo.

13th January 2021 at 3:23 pm #173747Be interesting to see were we are mid feb after playing utd , city, Leicester and spurs nine.
We miss fabhino in midfield. Everything went for us this season but something very different happening this season. The fight and intensity is no we’re near what it was last year. We are very poor at the minute
