I’ve been one of Pogba’s biggest critics but after 8 goals and 7 assists in 12 games under Ole, I’m struggling to think of a better performing midfielder in the league this year so far. I’m convinced he wasn’t a Mourinho buy and I don’t think he was ever going to work in a rigid Mourinho system. Give him that freedom and you see the best of him. A real big game player, too, when on this kind of form.

19th February 2019 at 7:04 am #33825AnonymousCracking result for us last night. Ole has it spot on with two up top and Mata in behind. Pogba then roaming in front of a midfield two and the fullbacks pushing on. Pressed high and got at Chelsea exploiting the space provided by Chelsea when they got forward. Similar tactics against arsenal too.
Tough draw for us. But might as well do it the hard way.

19th February 2019 at 7:57 am #33827Ed, we are seeing the real Pogba now. Looks so dangerous. Makes the game look easy at times when playing like that
Mikus, I don’t think
We will turn up Sunday. Have a bad feeling. I’ve no problem losing there but at least go down fighting. To many times we have let the atmosphere get to us there and gone down with a whimperFirmino needs to turn up in a big game away from home.
Salah be surrounded by 3 players like hazard was last night so we need to be lively to that. Salah hasn’t been good enough against the bigger sides this season

19th February 2019 at 8:00 am #33828Difference last night was utd had players from midfield supporting the forwards and getting in the box
Chelsea’s midfield is terrible. Kante our of position and kobacvic and Barkley offer nothing.
Sari just does the same thing over and over again
Kante is probably the best holding player in the world so play him there

19th February 2019 at 8:07 am #33829AnonymousYes, really not impressed by the Chelsea midfield. Kovacic went missing and Kante was hardly seen. Jorginho offered little.
Sarri made substitutions which were far too similar to the players coming off. He needed to change something other than simply the personnel.

19th February 2019 at 9:00 am #33831How long will Sarri last.
Imagine Chelsea currently without Hazard?
I thought Utd played it well last night but Chelsea tactics were dire. They should have started Willian against Young and not played Kante and Jorginho. Even I can see it doesnt work.
City or Utd for the cup?_____________________________

19th February 2019 at 10:56 am #33832Wow,what a brilliant win and a performance, and that away! Even without DDG,Martial & JLingz,United managed to perform brilliantly and beat Chelsea on their own backyard for the 1st time in aeons! Chelsea without Hazard are absolutely a nothing team, have to say it.Should have gone for Jovic of Eintracht Frankfurt or Piatek now of AC Milan, instead of Higuain.Beaten Arse,Spus, and now Chelsea in London, conceding only one!

19th February 2019 at 11:45 am #33833I think Higuain will be fine to be honest. I don’t think he’s the problem. A completely match fit Higuain buries that header yesterday and it’s a different game. I’m not saying he’s the answer to their problems but I don’t think he’s the cause either.

19th February 2019 at 12:11 pm #33834Ed-Short-term yes,till the end of the season.But long-term,the likes of Azpi,Alonso,Willian,Pedro,Higuain+ their bench,in Cahill,Giroud,DrinkH2O,need replacing-fast!
Same goes for United with,Young,Valencia,Jones,Rojo,Mata,Herrera,Matic,Sanchez! Add to that Arse, with Cech,Monreal,Kos,Lichsteiner,Mikhi,Wellbeck,Ozil, none of us 3 will challenge for major trophies as long as we keep players who are way,way past their best.Who in their right mind would keep the likes of Darmian,Rojo,Zappacosta,Palmieri,DrinkH2O,Pedro,Giroud,Mata,Sanchez,Jones,Valencia,etc,and plan to challenge the likes of Liverpool,City,& Spuds?_____________________________
