Weβve not been aggressive or ruthless enough today.

17th March 2024 at 6:09 pm #213282Amad struggled for ages taking his shirt off, then got sent off for it. Someone should have stopped him.

17th March 2024 at 6:10 pm #213285Awful. Just looked too casual today. We also still have a goal scoring problem from our strikers, particularly in big games. Donβt think Nunez has scored against any of the top sides this season. Salah & Jota are our only reliable scorers. Jota is out & Salah is still coming back somewhat.

17th March 2024 at 6:14 pm #213288What a match! Unlucky to the Liverpool lads. We really needed that. I thought we’d get battered today but we ended up with almost twice the XG Liverpool had. Very unexpected. Mainoo is going to be some player. Looked the best player on the park at times.

17th March 2024 at 6:18 pm #213289Imagine Chelsea vs United in the semi, who is who of the worst teams in the world of football. That would be a larfff of 2 teams spending trillions.

17th March 2024 at 6:27 pm #213290Sweddy-Was expecting a 4-1 thrashing today,no idea what happened to Liverpool today.Very sloppy all over the place and they paid the price for it! One thing is for sure, United won’t win it!

17th March 2024 at 6:37 pm #213293Just as with my Spuds yesterday, I think Pool had a slight “Billy Bigboots” attitude about them today… great game but Pool should have had enough in the tank… for once (at least when I’ve been watching) YooUtd had a bit of “spirit” about them… of course, I wonder how much of that was ruining Pool’s “Quadruple”… we’ll find out during their next game…

17th March 2024 at 6:42 pm #213294Indeed Banjo. We put a strong team out today but itβs as though they didnβt play the occasion vs Utd being such a big game. Just too casual. Utd did well to keep coming back. But we helped them and itβs as though we thought the game was won before it even started.

17th March 2024 at 6:45 pm #213295What a result.
Liverpool controlled the game in the 2nd half. Antony goal at the end changed everything.
What a game, what passion. Reminds of the good old days when both teams were on top. A proper bragging rights game.

17th March 2024 at 7:00 pm #213296Imho, Liverpool should just focus on the league,as they don’t have big enough squad to fight on all the comps.

17th March 2024 at 7:28 pm #213297We lost the game because we let Utd turn it into chaos. First half we were hitting too many long balls but in the 2nd half MacAllister was on the ball a lot more and we looked much better, just poor decision making let us down. But in ET especially when 3-2 up we let them turn it into a mess of a match with no shape and with the crowd behind them it was always going to favour them.
When we needed control we were found lacking. Players fault? Klopps? Doesnβt matter to be honest.
Well done Utd.

17th March 2024 at 10:45 pm #213298Wrong end of a 4-3 and a last minute winner. You have to say for a game shown on Terrestrial TV, that really was an Epic for the Neutrals; the tears of joy on the little United fan of which he will take with him for the rest of his life as a great living memory.
If we want to play 4-3-3 and manic stampede on the counter, then be incisive and release the ball. Chose your player and side. A strike can then ensue; either, left right, or center. Fine Textbook examples down the years are Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Jota will be raised, but we had enough (or you like to think!) talent on that pitch today to add to the lead. We were let off the hook in the dying moments of normal time. I just knew from that corner, should the ball land in United’s feet, that would be it. I just think today in particular was meant more for them than Liverpool and fair play. They could turn around their fortunes. No quadruple, that’s gone, but we have 2 more trophies still to play for.
Congrats to the United fans on here, enjoy. The Dreaded International Break Returns, so a chance to cool off.
P.S. Soft goals let in once again by Kelleher. Alisson is much needed.
