This one depends on which Chelsea and Arsenal turn up the Chelsea who played like they did in the Semi Final if they replicate that form would have a great chance of lifting the trophy on the other hand the Arsenal who played like they did v City in the other Semi Final would be a tough nut to crack.
Chelsea need to be strong defensively especially with Aubemayang,Lacazette and probably
Pepe up front.A win would be great for everyone connected to Chelsea but especially for Frank.

28th July 2020 at 3:18 pm #135705Itβs as you say nines
You have so many attacking threats when on form
My biggest worries are pulisic snd giroud whom I still like a great deal and offers much
Between your pace and his hold up it could be bad
We do have threats but Iβd say youβre favourites by a long way
One last game , would be great to do it and build on our record_____________________________

29th July 2020 at 8:36 am #136169We’ll see Nine ?
As for the FA Cup, would be a great achievement for either of the sides this season to win it. Difficult one to call. Arsenal are so up and down. Will be interesting to see if they set up the same way they did against City or whether they take the game to Chelsea.

29th July 2020 at 10:32 am #136226Kante in training prior to the Wolves game sounds promising. Kovacic has a niggle but trained yesterday. Willian is a doubt it could be his last game for Chelsea if he’s passed fit and it would be nice to see him go out on a high with an FA Cup Final but if he’s going to Arsenal personally I wouldn’t select him even if he’s 100% fit.
Be tough on Mount to leave him out anyway.

29th July 2020 at 1:41 pm #136302Arsenal Central Defenders apparently will be Holding and Luiz with two other options out.

30th July 2020 at 3:57 pm #137050“Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard said the 21-year-old was struggling with a minor unspecified problem in recent weeks, leading to his omission from the semifinal win over Manchester United.
Pulisic only featured as a substitute against Liverpool last week, and although he started Chelsea’s final Premier League game against Wolves on Sunday, which ended in a 2-0 win, the winger was replaced 12 minutes from time as a precaution
However, in an exclusive interview with ESPN, Pulisic said, “I never had a real issue. I’m 100% fit.”
Good news Chelsea will need a fully fit and fully firing Pulisic on Saturday.

30th July 2020 at 4:29 pm #137070Interesting premier league table from 20 Dec 2019 to end of season linked below i.e. since Arteta took over – Arsenal 6th & Chelsea 7th on equal points but with Chelsea playing one game less. Both have similar home records but Chelsea have the better away record. I remember flagging up a similar stat when Arsenal & Chelsea played the Europa League final last year which Chelsea won comfortably. So I still expect a Chelsea win but I expect a closer game this time around.
On a side note, you will note Southampton are in 4th place in this table further highlighting their remarkable turnaround. Also Leicester are 16th in this table, further highlighting their collapse. Incredible.

30th July 2020 at 8:40 pm #137231Brian, to be fair I think the Ed was just trying to have a bit of fun and that’s not really what he thinks but I agree with everything you say about the FA Cup as a competition.
You won’t be suprised to hear I’m hoping for a complete one sided affair in favour of Chelsea but realistically I think it will be close and it’s a difficult game to call. Cheers 9’s

30th July 2020 at 10:30 pm #137305It’s going to simply be unusual without fans. For an FA Cup Final, you plan your whole day around it as a fan. Hope the Tv coverage lives up to previous traditions.

31st July 2020 at 7:53 am #137646I think Frank will stick with 3/4/3 and the team then more or less picks itself assuming Kante is fit:
Willie, Azpi,Zouma, Rudiger/ James, Kovacic,Kante, Alonso/ Pulasic, Giroud, Mount.
I think injury and the possibility of a move to Arsenal might cost Willian his place on the right of the front three.

31st July 2020 at 1:47 pm #137868Frank Lampard confirms that both Willian and Kante are in the FA Cup Final squad. Loftus Cheek is out with a small injury shame for the lad.
