Without Conte gets a substantial guaranteed transfer war chest for the Summer from Levy it’s very unlikely he will be at Spurs next season. Conte doesn’t do failure.

If, as Conte said, this is the best squad of players heβs worked with, Iβm not sure Iβd like to watch his worst.
That’s it Gj. He’s really set himself up for criticism there. He’s basically admitting he’s not good enough if they don’t achieve anything. He needs to make his mind up though. One minute it’s the best group of players he’s ever worked with and another he’s moaning about a lack of investment in January. Which one is it?
I said it at the time and I’ll say it again. Utd may well get it wrong again with the next managerial appointment. Recent history, in fact, tells us we most likely will get it wrong. However, this idea that we made a huge error of judgement in not getting Conte has surely been put to bed now. Utd had reservations and they must be quietly enjoying the drama over at Spurs as it’s becoming clearer and clearer that they dodged a massive bullet with him. That’s not to say he’s not a great manager but he brings so much chaos and baggage with him that it’s almost not worth the hassle, as with Mourinho.

I believe that if Utd change their manager again they should appoint someone who is able to get the best out of existing players and not just a “name”. But I hope they get it wrong againππ
