5th March 2020 at 8:25 am #80562Chucky, forget where the story emerged from re Kane he will be 27 before the start of next season and currently he’s won nothing at Spurs and that doesn’t look like it’s going to end any time soon as it looks like there’s a major rebuilding job to be done at Spurs.
If Kane decides he wants more from his career which is entering his key years and won’t go on for ever than just money then he may well decide to push for a move.
Yes he’s got a long contract at Spurs but history proves that only means that the Club will get a top fee because there’s no point in hanging on to a player if he has decided he wants to move on.
Tbh it might be the best thing for Spurs he has regular injury problems Mourinho won’t get what he needs to start rebuilding Spurs from Levy in the Summer and Spurs would probably get circa Β£150m plus for him to add to Mourinho’s transfer kitty.
I’m not saying it’s going to happen but I wouldn’t rule it out just on the basis of Kane’s has a long way to go on his current contract.

5th March 2020 at 8:26 am #80563I know it was live on TV, and I know Sheff Wed aren’t having a great time of it, and I know it was on a Wed night, but under 21000 at Hillsborough to see the second best side in the country? Interest in the FA Cup really has plummeted. I remember Liverpool v Grimsby in the 3rd round in 1980 when there was 50000 in attendance. I can understand why the FA Cup has become less important to Premiership clubs, particularly those in Europe, but why did the Wednesday fans not come out and support their team last night? Out of those 21000, probably 3 or 4000 were City fans as well.

5th March 2020 at 8:30 am #80564I think all of us (certainly not just Chucky) have a very selective stance on paper talk. It’s generally “rubbish” when our best players are linked with moves away yet we’re happy to discuss great players being linked to our clubs in the papers.
I mean, I’m not sure Chucky was as dismissive of the rumours linking Bale with a return, for example. In fact, I remember that to be the case!
I’m certainly not saying it’s not rubbish on this occasion. It could well be but often when something appears in several different articles, there is something there.

5th March 2020 at 8:46 am #80568People generally only believe something when it is something they want to believe, and way too often think players see playing for a certain team the same way a fan would do.

My last word on this, the ‘article’ has been popping up everywhere, but the last 56 of the 57 even start with the classic “we’ve been receiving reports”… meaning they’re simply reporting the first article… all nonsense probably started by one tweet (by a Goonie probably).
It’s all utter nonsense and you both know it.

5th March 2020 at 8:58 am #80573AnonymousI like how when spurs played poorly under poch it was the players fault. When they play poorly under mourinho itβs his fault. Many spurs fans actually want him to fail. He has the same players poch had, has done better than poch this season yet is a disaster and poch is god. Itβs like poch was some sort cult leader.
With regards to Kane, if he wants to go then so be it. He deserves better than this shower of shit that levy has put together. Heβs on 300k a week at spurs and on huge bonuses so I canβt see him earning loads more than that elsewhere but heβll most likely win something.
Hopefully we wonβt see Eric dier in a spurs shirt again. Heβs championship standard at best and will hopefully be banned for the rest of the season and then sold

5th March 2020 at 9:07 am #80575Fair point Paxo, and to a bit I agree, but I think Poncho deserved the chance to re-build and see what he could do without the likes of Rose and Wee Erik stinking up the place. Sure, Maureen hasn’t had the best of luck with injuries etc… but some of the 11’s he’s put out are “mind-blowing” to say the least and quite frankly I don’t think he’s improved the team one little bit. We had 6/8 games of new manager bounce, and now Maureen gets to spunk all the wedge Poncho never really had the chance to.
And with all due respect, I also quite like the way whenever there’s a bump in the road, it’s Levy’s fault not the managers. Could Levy have stumped up more for transfers? Sure, but then you can argue that with any chairman in the league.

5th March 2020 at 10:30 am #80579I read the funniest thing today – Kane wants to leave and win trophies, he wants a move to Man Utd. I mean what the F are Man Utd going to win????
I reckon if he was to leave, there’s only 1 place he is going, Manchester… City.

5th March 2020 at 11:21 am #80586If Kane plans to win trophies then Man Utd is the wrong address, his aim surely has to be Real,Barca,Bayern,PSG,Juve?
