So the Arsenal player puts his head in rashfords face and they both get a yellow. Rashford did something similar to Bardsley last season and he got a straight red, despite bardsley putting his head in rashfords face first.
Whatβs the point of VAR?

25th January 2019 at 9:43 pm #32109So easy for Utd. Every time they attack they have a chance. Arsenal are awful. Why didnt they start with a stronger team? They look worse than under Wenger. Tie of the round? Could have been but a real disappointment of a match.
Ozil. Never been any good imo.

25th January 2019 at 9:43 pm #32110AnonymousArsenal fans chucking things at players again. FA need to step up. They could pretend they are Man Utd if it helps them make the right decision.

25th January 2019 at 9:43 pm #32111Feeble at best. Expected better from the Gunners. There’s just nothing there on the evidence of Tonight.

25th January 2019 at 9:49 pm #32113Adlab, mate, perfectly summed up. This is just rubbish, no real FA Cup Tie in my 35 years beyond in being a Football Fan.
I Blame the FA and they should be held not so much Accountable, but this on a Friday Night, is just BLAND, just BLAND, No nothing.
Have this at 3pm Saturday Afternoon, or on a Sunday Afternoon.
Friday Night, Saturday Night, as far as it goes: It Doesn’t Work and WE DONT WONT TO KNOW!

25th January 2019 at 9:54 pm #32114AnonymousBut now Lacazette pushes Shaw into the post and then handballs the ball deliberately trying to score. No card. Great ref. And this is with VAR. and I am no where near as bad as you. ?

25th January 2019 at 9:59 pm #32116AnonymousItβs the sort of performance I expected under Jose. Clinical going forward and tight at the back. Jose never quite managed it though!
And what a shit ref!

25th January 2019 at 10:01 pm #32117I’m enjoying this Ole run while it lasts but I can’t help thinking it’s all going to start unravelling again once we taste defeat for the first time under him. We’re riding a wave at the moment but we’ll only know how good Ole can be when he has to dig us out of a hole. That time will come, sooner or later.

25th January 2019 at 10:18 pm #32120Agree with all. Poor ref, worse match, wrong time, poor team selections. Tie of the round it should have been. It wasnt

25th January 2019 at 10:20 pm #32121Pretty much Adlab.
Probably best to let it be.
For now, not sure what the rest of the Weekend can serve us.

26th January 2019 at 8:53 am #32123Fans crave success especially the fans of the top 6 Clubs and the TV monies help pay for that success. There’s a price to pay.

26th January 2019 at 8:57 am #32124United fans must be betwixt and between on the one hand they want this run to continue and have a successful season and on the other hand they know if it does Solskjaer might well be appointed the permanent Manager.
Even I’m betwixt and between. π

26th January 2019 at 11:09 am #32127Nine, to be honest I think we’re all just enjoying the mini revival to worry too much about whether or not he gets the job. It’s a welcome change considering how the season’s gone so far. Personally, I’m not too concerned about the whole situation. The only way he’ll get it is if he convinces the players and the board that he’s the man for the long term and the only way he’ll do that is by continuing to win games and get CL football secured.
As much as there are similarities with RDM, there’s no saying it won’t work for Ole just because things went pear shaped for RDM. Ole has experienced Utd men with him in Carrick, Phelan and Co and, Allegri aside, I can’t see anyone more suitable for the job who is gettable. People keep going on about Poch but you look at what that cup win meant for Ole yesterday. Poch has repeatedly gone on record to say he’s not bothered about the cups. That kind of attitude just wouldn’t be tolerated by the Utd fans or hierarchy.

26th January 2019 at 11:39 am #32128Moyes, Van Gal, & Mourinho. Who would have predicted theyβd have been the 3 managers to succeed Fergie?? Theyβre all quite ordered more conservative managers, and isnβt it interesting that as soon as you throw in a manager that throws a bit of caution to the wind and goes for it more a la Fergie, they look like the side of old again. Man Utdβs playing philosophy has been at odds with its managerial philosophy for some years and finally thatβs changed. Not really rocket science is it??
