Why is Klopp’s record in the cup so poor? I get that he wants to focus on the league which has maybe had him choosing weaker sides in previous years but that’s surely the main difference between him and Guardiola/Mourinho who just desperately want to win everything they play in

Think a combination of having weaker squad players and always seeming to come up against Premier League opposition in the early stages. We really do have a problem with squad depth quality, and have done for years.

United will always get those penalties or near to goals free kicks, when any team plays them you will always play against the officials as well, it stems from Fergusons days. It usually happens towards the end of the match when the officials can see they not going to win the game. Everyone knows it even their own fans though of course they will not admit it.

Apparently Klopp’s Mum passed away the night of the Burnley game and the funeral was yesterday. If true, it kind of puts things in to perspective. He couldn’t get back to Germany because of Covid restrictions. Poor fella. It maybe explains why he has been somewhat prickly in recent weeks.

Haha Moos! You talk about Utd more than any other side. To say you’re a fan of both Chelsea and Man City, that’s quite impressive.

Hightown, yeah that certainly could explain a lot. I think he’s always had a tendency to be a bit like that when things aren’t going his way but don’t they all? Few of the elite managers react well to losing and that’s arguably what makes them such good winners.
