That’s exactly the problem. The fans used to winning so much vs a new owner wanting to play the long game.

8th January 2023 at 10:12 pm #202572“If you had a fully fit squad” π€£ don’t make me laugh!
Koulibaly was replacement for rudiger, fofana replaced christensen, we couldnt replace experience with youth just like that.
We can’t pass up opportunities on future talent while we await offloading others.
Pulisic, ziyech, jorginho, silva, Azpilicueta even kante all likeky to be elsewhere next season plus many more.
Pretty much the whole team needs rebuilding. Tuchel picked koulibaly and auba for sure and both of them be out sooner rather than later too.
In short we are set for such a mass exodus of older players over next 12 months we will be relying on the younger ones.
Not forgetting a lot of them are getting minutes now too because there is no point imagining no injuries because they happen and the opportunity’s are arriving for them left right and centre.

That’s basically it mate except the club and new owners HAVE to play long game and the fans HAVE to understand it. If they don’t we will make things harder.

8th January 2023 at 10:25 pm #202579If that is the case Lucky, where is the experience going to come from if the experience players are going leave in the near future?
There is going to be a lot of inexperience at your club including the manager. That is not a recipe for success short or long term.

8th January 2023 at 10:32 pm #202580CM, experience has to be gained somewhere and that’s what a lot if our youngsters are getting now.
Further to that what makes you think we will not replace few of the older experienced players with slightly younger experienced players?
A lot of our experienced players are simply not good enough and unlike the youngsters, they won’t get any better. We need better experienced players than what we currently have.
Any successful chelsea team in future, as already stated, will have a mix of top experienced players and top youngsters. There a lot of work to be done and we will only compete for titles again if we truly deserve it through amazing work similar to pool under klopp or dare I say it, maybe even arsenal under arteta.

9th January 2023 at 6:24 am #202588Come on Neploean, life’s too short to do ‘hate’…. there’s things a like, such as Cock’s, Marmite on toast, Emelia Clarke, bag of Sherbert Pips, a decent book, Aston Martin’s, Long Island Ice Teas…
And things I don’t like, such as Arsenal, Brussel Sprouts, Chelsea, jogging, Liverpool, reality TV, YooUtd, and threads about Harry Plonker and the Golddigger on a footydebate website… π

Qatar Sports Investments, owners of Paris St-Germain, are looking to make a minority investment in another team and have held exploratory talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. (CBS Sports)
Feeling warm and fuzzy after reading that? π

9th January 2023 at 9:04 am #202595I don’t think the United job was an easy job but you can’t compare ten Haag’s situation to Potters firstly tH had a pre season with his players secondly he had the Summer transfer window with Casimero signed and being fundamental to the way United play. Potter had neither.

9th January 2023 at 9:11 am #202597I’m not sure anyone has compared the two Nine. As you say, wildly different circumstances. Potter absolutely needs time and Boehly will surely give him that.
