Probably had our blushes saved, but we’ll be founded out in the replay no doubt. We’re a rubbish team, not even midtable. Gakpo won’t paper the cracks we have.

7th January 2023 at 9:58 pm #202413Salahs goal stood as the defender made a genuine attempt for the ball. If he had of left it then he was offside. Also it was the corner kick taker off wolves who was supposed to be offside but they had to go with the linesman decision as var couldnโt call it because of the camera angle!
So absolutely blessed and we deserve to be out. Piss poor from us and wolves 2nd string looked better then our best 11.
We look so bad at the moment. Major issues at the minute. Soft and easy to play againest .

7th January 2023 at 10:10 pm #202416Thanks for the explanation chaps . Too complicated for me. I prefer the concept of interfering with play etc.

7th January 2023 at 10:49 pm #202417Not that it may have made the world of difference but given our lack of defensive minded midfielders surprised Bajcetic hasnโt got more time in the recent games.

8th January 2023 at 8:28 am #202418If VAR can’t be used everywhere in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup it shouldn’t be used at all.

8th January 2023 at 8:58 am #202419Ye exactly nine. Iโve no idea if it was offside or not to be honest. We deserved nothing from that gane. We were dreadful and have been all season. Canโt see us getting top 4. Just absolutely no sign of us improving. Midfield and defence are dreadful

Looking at this, Wolves 3rd goal should have stood.
How could they not have a camera angle showing whether someone who took the corner was in an offside position or not. Especially when youโre using tech like VAR and it is 2022.

8th January 2023 at 10:04 am #202425Sean completely agree with all of that mate. I didn’t see a problem in the actual goal. It seemed there was fault-finding in the build up to it from the corner taken or something of that nature. Wolves have been an awkward fixture for us. We struggled against them last season.
I’m not sure where we are with all this but we look worlds apart from what we were last season. We’d be lucky to finish in the Top 10. I can’t see us getting anything next Saturday against Brighton as our away form has been effectively poor all season.
We were bossed in the midfield once again. It was knife through butter. Henderson, Fabinho, Tiago, just not working for us collectively. We’re a little bit good in patches, but that’s as good as it gets.

8th January 2023 at 10:26 am #202427Yes, that does sound rather miserable, forgive me – was actually happy once we equalized and went in front. Alisson and Konate are trying to find an understanding between them, bless them. Don’t know where the rest are. We need to eliminate silly mistakes like Donald Duck and Pluto ๐

8th January 2023 at 11:38 am #202429I know we’re still short of 2 or 3 of our first team regulars, but the most disappointing observation that struck me was that we actually fielded a strong 11 and regular starters. Those subs that Klopp threw on late on were more effective; e.g. that kid who’s turned 17. There was more spark from him.
We’re definitely a 5 out of 10 team at the mo, below average. Deconstruction and Back-to-Basics is much needed and being able to keep clean sheets.

8th January 2023 at 12:29 pm #202430Nil, like every day we have and had injuries but thatโs our best team available at the minute and on paper itโs very strong.
Thereโs so much wrong with us at the minute. Itโs not injuries. Itโs rare just far to easy to play againest . We are soft all over

8th January 2023 at 12:47 pm #202431Klopp bemoaned us not winning enough challenges. The concern now is if some of these players have just run out of steam and just aren’t enjoying this anymore. Even just a 10% drop off in performance can have drastic consequences.

8th January 2023 at 1:12 pm #202432Good points Sean and Mikus.
Fabinho, Henderson, and Tiago do all try. I think a lot of the opposition we now face have themselves improved. They have figured us out and know how we play. Unfortunately to our guys, they may have to concede that age is catching up with them. They are all fantastic servants to our club and deserve huge respect.
Teams though are walking all over us and we’re a soft touch now. Keita makes us more stronger I believe, but he’s never been a regular starter and plagued with injury.
A really good point made by one of the studio pundits yesterday that FSG should pull out the stops to sign Jude Bellingham in the summer. For me, we definitely need 2 new strong midfielders.

8th January 2023 at 3:00 pm #202433Cardiff two up Leeds not good so far.
It’s the Cup. Anything can happen. Our last two home results have been poor. We beat Chelsea a couple of days ago but today…? Who can tell.
Agree about VAR . It should be everywhere or nowhere. Otherwise it’s unfair ._____________________________

8th January 2023 at 3:31 pm #202436Although they did well last season, Liverpool have not looked the same since the arrival of Thiago. He seems to slow play for them and lacks the energy they previously had. Accommodating and building a team around him has had an impact.
