Beni, imo. Adlab is a good poster. He posted for years on the City TT page but to my knowledge never posted on the main page or other club pages. Sure he is passionate and has his opinions on things. He clearly dislikes United with a passion as many City fans do. But i have never seen him insult anybody. Fwiw Alfie is probably his alter ego as a United fan. Both good posters imo, but from different ends of the spectrum.  Cheers Jim

Completely agree Jim and Brian. Maybe time to close this thread soon but I’ll leave it up for a bit for any interesting closing thoughts which may come in!

Some people need to understand that this is a forum. You will hear views which you disagree with, but as long as they are honest views I think that is good.

Some need to learn to accept others point of view, and to express their own in a clearer manner so others can empathise with them – even though we may not agree.

I find it hard to accept conspiracy theories when it is based on someone who is not in their role at the FA anymore, controlling elite referees who they had no dealing with even when they were the vice-chairman of the FA.

I also find it strange that a top PL player can punch a fan and then fans of the club he plays for expect not to see comments on the incident.

Similarly I find it baffling to explain what an Opta stat means – after being asked – only to be mocked for doing so and then have to spend time explaining the necessity of reading the post clearly.

Just my views and it’s fair enough that others disagree, but experience tells me that if a Utd fan came up with a similar conspiracy theory, tried to stifle debate if a Utd player had punched a fan or argued black was white then others would point out the ridiculousness of it all.

As for the posts suggesting we are reverting to TT style – they are spot on imo.

I think some people argue with the person making the point and not debate the point itself.

A lot of what has been said which has caused such a fuss seems harmless and would likely go without such silly responses had a fan of their own club made the same comments.
