29th August 2020 at 6:42 pm #162554Congrats Arsenal, Congrats Steveo!
Aubameyang’s Wembley day again. Gunners were strong today and probably deserve to win overall. We did well to get back in but lacked the cutting edge. Minamino played well today and is improving. We are missing Henderson’s leadership and Trent massively.
A lot of metal’s going to be needed if we are genuinely aspiring to defend the League Title.

29th August 2020 at 6:44 pm #162557Well done to the Gooners.
No fans is awful and lack of fans really stood out in the FA Cup Final for me. An empty Wembley is on Cup Final day?
2500 let in as an experiment today at Brighton v Chelsea but Covid cases are increasing again and Winter is coming I just can’t see crowds being allowed back anytime soon and even then it will be with a fraction of the capacity.

29th August 2020 at 7:45 pm #162604Didnโt see any of the game but well done arsenal
Towards the end of last season they showed a bit of steel and balls that had been lacking for years. They run and work for the manager now. I donโt think arsenal will be push overs this season
Congrats stevo me aul

29th August 2020 at 7:59 pm #162618Maitland Niles was a different player this afternoon and deserved his man of the match. It’s building blocks of each positive result that Arteta is reminding his players of so that encourages more belief-confidence-drive.
Going into next season, it’s about consistency and resilience.
Aubameyang’s a Joy to watch you have to say. Top 4 can be achieved.

29th August 2020 at 8:29 pm #162642Peps winming mentality has rubbed off on Arteta. Arsenal are beginning to look a serious team and will challemge next season.

29th August 2020 at 8:35 pm #162647Bout time we showed steel consistently
Weve done it twice against pool and once against city and Chelsea
We can do it we just need to do it often
No idea If we can but it gives us a chance and sorting the mentality could be worth more than a bunch of signings …

29th August 2020 at 9:09 pm #162673Didnโt see the game, just catching up now. Arteta is increasingly cutting a very calm and intelligent figure on the touchline. I have held back on my predictions as I think theyโll still be some significant transfer activity yet. But I have increasingly been thinking that Arsenal wouldnโt have a bad season and Iโd certainly have them and Spurs ahead of Man Utd in the top 4 race at the moment.
As for Liverpool, I suspect many of us Liverpool fans have developed a sixth sense over the years with how we will perform in each game. Klopp can obviously say itโs still preseason and weโre still looking for fitness and freshness and to some degree itโs a fair point. All the good ingredients are still at the club, itโs obviously a question of how the motivation levels are. I think all top sides have to freshen up every year and I think Liverpool need to. They can still have a good season and Klopp can always get them fired up, but as Iโve been saying for some time, Iโd like to see some more quality in the midfield/attacking third. I just think we need some more sparks in the side. Itโs all very workmanlike which is great, but we seemed to struggle to break teams down last season so we need other options.
