We had 3 centre backs injured and played two midfielders there then a 20 year old and a debutant so no real direct comparison adlab chum
Vvd is huge for us no doubt but we can never be comparrd to city. Pep just goes out and buys another defender if things go wrong

16th September 2021 at 9:51 am #185189I get you about the ganes being exspensive adlab
I saw peps interview asking for fans to come to Saturdays game
You only got 51k for Norwich game aswell. Not nice looking at Empty seats. In no way having a dig as I totally understand the cost of a game these dayβs . Disappointing for the players though

16th September 2021 at 11:02 am #185191Why do other clubs fans manage to (mostly) fill out grounds for all matches?

You must create a joke using the above that would be sooooo good it could go viral
Should you be caught or the joke is shit all knowledge will be denied and you will be cast adrift
Likely face the largest punishment there is β¦ to be made to support Spurs π§

16th September 2021 at 1:04 pm #185198AnonymousFoxy, KDB is definitely up there. As for Van Dijk though, maybe it’s because he’s a CB but besides being what i think is the best CB in the world, he organized our defence, is an aerial threat for set pieces and I think what non-Liverpool fans might not realize, van Dijk’s passing range was sorely missed last season.
Man City can do well without KDB because they have maybe the best squad in world football. Liverpol can still do well enough without Van Dijk but… We’ve a world class defence when he’s in it. In time, we might miss him less, cause you’ve to consider that Gomez himself is just back from injury, wasnt getting games etc etc and Konate is brand new at the club.
If i were to say something that will make any non-LFC fan sound clever in a conversation though, it’s Van Dijk’s passing range. It was key to our CL and PL wins, we looked out of ideas without it last season._____________________________

16th September 2021 at 3:28 pm #185203That fool Simon Jordan is disgraceful being derogatory about City because the crowd was ONLY 45000 v RB Leipsig. Perhaps he doesnt realise the cost, although for somebody wno lost all his money……a*s*

16th September 2021 at 3:37 pm #185206AnonymousAdlab. we were maybe 2000 under the official capacity, so ya, Anfield probably was at actual real capacity for the night.

16th September 2021 at 3:38 pm #185208AnonymousFor a second there , I thought you were having a go at Sean. I was gonna tell you how uncalled for it was lol.
I agree with you regards ticket prices. Just like jerseys though, they’ll fleece the fanbase as long as they keep paying.

16th September 2021 at 3:41 pm #185209City fans are strange at times, yes, I agree football is expensive now and most family men should not be able to afford two games a week. family first. Utd, Liverpool always have bigger crowds , that is fact, City have a strong core of fans though and we are approx 8K from lifting that up to regular capacity. There is support within the city to do this because we have done it before but for whatever reason it does not happening at the moment and that is why we will not build the third tier for some time now on the Ashton end.
What I do find unacceptable is other fans picking it up as a negative. As football goes Old Trafford will not always be full or will Anfield and others of course. A drop in 8K or thereabouts will hurt other teams as much as City and it will happen. I have always believed City’s true fan base is 48K_____________________________

16th September 2021 at 3:47 pm #185210Brian. Agreed. But the press would rather highlight crowd numbers rather than the fact that, without exaggeration, we could have scored ten. If I had the choice between RB Leipsig or Soton on Saturday it would be Soton

16th September 2021 at 4:40 pm #185212Adlab, the press and Jordan only talking about it because of peps plea to city fans after game asking they show up for next league game. If it wasn’t an issue for pep and he didn’t raise it Jordan would not be talking about it today.

16th September 2021 at 4:54 pm #185213On the crowd at City last night (and yes I was there), I would say that there were only 27 Leipzig fans (we counted them) in the away enclosure that actually holds about 6,000. Not sure why that was but assume it’s something to do with Covid restrictions in Germany.
Now if they had taken there full allocation, the crowd would have been over 51,000 – only c.4,000 short of capacity. Not bad for a midweek game, IMO._____________________________

16th September 2021 at 5:03 pm #185216Anfield is always full adlab no matter who we play. Some seats have not been available for whatever reason. Not sure if itβs cause of work or Covid.

16th September 2021 at 5:05 pm #185217Brian I said I wasnt having a go mate, just thought it was a bit crazy the manager is asking for fans to come. Itβs clear issue if the manager is saying it and itβs the only reason I knew chum
