Hazard’s dream as a kid was to play for Real Madrid the team he supported from a boy. I can’t begrudge him his chance of living that dream.

Sad to see him go but he’s given Chelsea fans so much and he went out in style helping Chelsea to win another trophy.

I can only wish him and his family the very best of luck in their new life I’m sure Hazard will be a massive success at Real and the Real fans will love him.

I will try and catch as many Real matches as I can on TV.

He is and always will be a Chelsea Legend!

Shelf life? It’s about a personal ambition since Hazard was a boy Nil.

Hazard certainly isn’t past his shelf life he’s coming into the best years of his career Chelsea would have signed him up to a big new extended contract if they could have and I expect Real to sign him on an even bigger long term contract.

But I think I get where you are coming from as very few players give a Club 7 Seasons like Hazard has Chelsea albeit he’s won everything possible in the English game some multiple times and won two European trophies too in that 7 year period.

I’m sure he will go on to win even more trophies at Real too.

Nine, just got back from work mate, so I can properly answer to your reply.

Essentially, what I meant by shelf-life is that sooner or later or through the course of time at some point, a player is going to leave. Of course it disappoints us as supporters, particularly if that player has been a Top Top Player and a servant.

What ever sound bites aired on the Subject, it’s out in the open and it’s something anyone affiliated with Chelsea have to come to terms with accept it.

it just seems (understandably) that you’re trying to cling on and justify his choice to play for Real.

There is a lack of loyalty in Modern Football from players and anybody serving 3-5 years is a godsend in my eyes. I’ve had it with my own club in Suarez and Coutinho.

It is what it is. Just enjoy your moment mate; you’ve just won a Prestigious Honour.

Nil, if wishing Eden Hazard and his family all the very best on their forthcoming move to Madrid and understanding his boyhood ambition to play for Real the Club he supported since a boy after giving Chelsea 7 magical seasons is “clinging on” then I plead guilty to it.?

Tbh I don’t know any Chelsea fans both personally and on the Chelsea forum who don’t feel the same way. But if he were joining say Liverpool that would be a completely different story.?

The lure of Spain and the two giant Clubs there is difficult for any player to turn down and in Hazard’s case even more difficult being it was his Club from a boy. Watch us draw Real in the CL next season now.

Rest assured I’m thoroughly ” enjoying the moment” despite all the trophies we’ve won in recent years I never take winning one for granted particularly this season because tbh the end to our season was as joyous as it was unexpected which made it even more satisfying.

I took my wife out for a nice Italian meal yesterday to celebrate and we sunk a few Bellini’s to toast our success.

I’m in a celebratory mood it was my eldest Sons birthday on Wednesday night and it’s mine today and we’re out again tonight to celebrate that.
