that day when you wake up nervous and excited like the chuckle waking up in a seedy motel in Malmo with no idea why π
i would put us at favourites, even withiut the injuries (on paper) that said, i am not confident, just hope we have enough big game experience
im hoping the stuff above is more evidence of a chelsea implosion π

29th May 2019 at 8:06 am #41724Looking forward to tonight, still can’t believe it’s in Baku! Feel sorry for all those fans who not only paid a lot to get there but probably had a pretty poor experience in getting there.
Hope Arsenal win, with out disrespecting the Chelsea lads on here of course. I just like the idea of 5 English teams in the Champions League next year, plus Arsenal fans I am sure will be cheering us on come Saturday so why not return the gesture. Also, I just like them a bit more.
Will Kante be fit? Will he be risked? Hell of a player and finals should have the best players available to play but they need to be able to play their best. No clear favorite in my opinion, I fancy a score draw then Cech to be the hero with the penalties.

29th May 2019 at 8:09 am #41725Sarri is far too emotional at times he made the Kepa incident worse than it was with his storming off down the tunnel.
I can understand his frustration in wanting to practice free kicks and not being able to do so because the media are there but that would have all been arranged before hand and shouldn’t have been a suprise.
Storm in a tea cup though and wont play any part in tonight’s game.
I can’t see Kante starting he might be improving but he could only run yesterday and didn’t join in the training and his game is based on fitness getting into the right places at the right time and shutting out danger and I don’t think he can do that effectively half fit maybe a place on the bench but with so many injuries to key players Chelsea might try and risk him with pain killing injections.
The injuries to 4 key players just ahead of the Final may prove costly but we still will field a decent team and Hazard in his last game could prove pivotal there’s a lot less pressure on Chelsea too with CL football assured which could be of benefit or not.
May the best team on the night win it. (Providing it’s Chelsea.?)

29th May 2019 at 1:53 pm #41750Be a fascinating watch. Purely on managers youβd have to favour Emery what with his record in the Europa League. However, I think Chelsea have a bit more resilience about them which their league form demonstrates – interestingly in the season just gone – filtering the table to home games only – Arsenal finish 3rd, and Chelsea 4th. However, filtering to away games only – Chelsea finish 5th and Arsenal 8th.

29th May 2019 at 2:29 pm #41754Very interesting analysis Mikus.
Whatever happens with Sarri I would like to see him win his first trophy more for him than for the Club.
For Chelsea I think a lot hinges on whether Kante is fit enough to start and whether he can fully contribute and get through the whole game. Big risk to start him but I think Sarri will if he can.

29th May 2019 at 2:48 pm #41755999, I would sooner start him, no good bringing him on and then him breaking down with no subs left…..Pagan

29th May 2019 at 6:54 pm #41764Is it a risk though nine? Only rated at 50/50 yday.
Hazard turns up and Chelsea will win.
Arsenal need show a bit of balls and thatβs a very attacking line up
Fancy Chelsea as they are better at the back
Looking forward to the game

29th May 2019 at 6:59 pm #41766Sean, definitely a risk Sean as I said earlier on this thread “For Chelsea I think a lot hinges on whether Kante is fit enough to start and whether he can fully contribute and get through the whole game. Big risk to start him but I think Sarri will if he can.”
But if, if he can get through the game and perform to his level it will be a risk worth taking.

29th May 2019 at 7:04 pm #41768Nine fair points mate but for me Kante is just wasted there. Makes no real impact on the game when pushed forward.
Best of luck in anyway to you and Stevo
