26th May 2019 at 8:06 pm #41495The injury hoodo continues to bite Kante injures his knee in training now and is very doubtful for the Final that’s Rudiger, Hudson Odoi, Loftus Cheek and Kante all lost in a space of a few weeks all of whom would have almost certainly started v Arsenal.
Down to youth players now to back up a midfield 3 of Jorginho, Kovacic and Barkley, Drinkwater could even figure.
Shades of the 2012 CL Final where injuries and suspensions hit hard and we didn’t do too badly then.?

27th May 2019 at 2:59 pm #41524Reports suggest that Kanteβs injury has eased and the Club arenβt ruling him out of the Final yet?

28th May 2019 at 11:06 am #41638Sorry 9 I hope the cannons win this one. Loved watching them during their successful seasons & havenβt won a major for a few seasons.
For me Hazzard is the best player in the EPL but heβs won enough at chelsea so hereβs to a cannon win._____________________________

28th May 2019 at 12:57 pm #41645I might be a bad omen to have on your side Stevo, I think I’ve put a curse on Liverpool when I told a young fella we were going to win the EPL with a couple of weeks to go in the Gerrard slip season. I was wearing my Liverpool top & a bloke in the supermarket said he’s youngster was nervous & didn’t want to wear his top. I said we are going to be the champions young fella, wear it every day. We’ve f’d up every major thing since.
So on that note chelsea and spurs to win._____________________________

28th May 2019 at 2:10 pm #41652Hard one to call and I wouldn’t bet against Penalties.
I’m confident of lots of goals in this and definitely, main men from both sets of teams to turn up.

28th May 2019 at 2:12 pm #41653Either of these Managers in their first season in fairness to them would have done well not only winning a Trophy, but also nailing a CL Place for next term.
Both guys too have been Newcomers.

28th May 2019 at 2:25 pm #41658I think if Kante is fit enough to start and go the whole way and Hazard is at the top of his game Chelsea have a decent chance of delivering Sarri his first trophy.
Shame about all the injuries though big Finals should be played for by both sides at full strength.

28th May 2019 at 2:46 pm #41660Arsenal must be hot favourites to win this time. Chelsea have 3 of their key players out plus all the speculation around the club will also be a factor.

28th May 2019 at 2:57 pm #41663Rover, funnily enough Arsenal are evens and Chelsea are 8/11 on favourites with SkyBet.
But I think you’re right the injuries have hit us hard and all the speculation surrounding Sarri just ahead of a European Final has been very unhelpful.
I’m just glad we’re not relying on winning it in order to gain CL football that takes a little bit of the pressure off.

28th May 2019 at 4:04 pm #41672Stevo,imagine if Cech starts and he inexplicably lets one through his legs which proves crucial. Your best mate the Special One would explode.

28th May 2019 at 6:45 pm #41679Maurizio Sarri has refused to rule NβGolo Kante out of Chelseaβs Europa League final against Arsenal on Wednesday but admitted that the chances of the midfielder playing are β50/50β. The 28-year-old injured his hamstring during Chelseaβs 3-0 win over Watford in the Premier League earlier this month and then suffered a knock to his knee during training at the weekend. Following his latest fitness-related setback, Kante was assumed to be all but certain of missing the final, however, Chelsea decided to take the Frenchman to Baku just in case he recovered.
