Actually thought the ref got all the big decisions right.

Kimmich foul? Correct.

Offside goal? Hard to spot with the naked eye but technology said so, another correct decision.

Handball? Doesn’t matter how close you are it depends on where your hands are and his were up. It’s like someone doing a star jump right next to the crosser, a pen. Or a defender pointing for what ever reason within the first 20 seconds of his clubs biggest ever game, a pen.

Onto tonight’s game. It’s got boredom written all over it. England again have such an easy route to the final and I think they’ll scrape every game on route before being shown up against someone half decent.

I would say this is shocking, but it’s far from a shock. Southgate is too stubborn at this competition. He has to make changes at HT.

Walker being surprisingly poor most of the tournament

When Engerland bet Serbia, I thought they couldn’t play much worse, but then I saw them struggle to a 1-1 draw with Denmark I thought this has to be the bottom of the barrel with regards to performances but then I saw the 0-0 draw with Slovinia which was possible the most inept Engerland performance for a decade yet somehow they’ve managed to lower the bar even further… if Engerland are very, very lucky, we might be given a “VAR” peno for some unseen incident and then somehow hold on for peno’s… can see much else happening…

Solvakia are average and be camped in their half all of the 2nd half. England have the players who can change a game but he needs to bring them on

No tempo or width from England. I’ll never understand this obsession with slow tipp tappy football all within a 10x10m box on the edge of the area.

Slovakia, whilst not a brilliant team, have used the width of the pitch much better. More direct and much quicker transitions.

Don’t think anybody has done anything close enough to warrant “best player” of the half… it’s a very low bar… totally agree Waspy… need Palmer on the pitch sooner than later… Foden and Saka have been very, very poor, along with Harry (who’s been feeding on scraps)…

I’m thinking go 4-4-2 with somebody up top to help Harry and get 2 wingers on the pitch pinging in cross after cross..

I think the system is the biggest problem. I think we should be playing more with 3 proper midfielders, and then 3 attackers. The 3 of Saka, Bellingham & Foden look like they’re having to partly play as midfielders hence why I don’t think they’re making runs and they keep running back deeper towards the midfield to pick up the ball. Play with more midfielders then give the attackers the freedom and license to drive forward as they should be doing – making runs and stretching the play.
