Sean – agree mate. Can’t believe Ivan Toney went. Far too young, massive money but surely he would get similar on a free next summer.

Be great for those like Casemiro etc but can’t see why young players would go (other than money).

Nil – I know we had a couple drop out etc but very interesting to see the difference between Southgate and his assistant one game on.

Grealish wasn’t even in the euro squad and Gordon didn’t start a match (I think) and ended up umpteenth choice.

Morning Alfie,

yeah, I went out so I didn’t really admittedly see the entire match, but after Ireland’s early pressure and our opener straight after, we found our rhythm.

Places are up for grabs, so each player really needs to earn their place.

Obviously, Carsley won’t be there too long, so the right guy coming in (hopefully) knows he has inherited a really good set of players capable of performing as a team.

Well, Kane set for his 100th Cap which is deserved and he has served very well for our country. But our future has to be the thought of him no longer being the main man.

We need to start thinking about integrating Cole Palmer or the newer players we introduced and unleashed this summer.
