Match v Wales on Tonight. Kick Off 8pm.
Nothing really to do on a Thursday Night, so may as well tune into this, until at least I turn off, which I’m guessing will be 5 mins to 10 mins after kick off 😛
Any something to keep us all going over the next few days or so before ‘normal service’ resumes 🙂

8th October 2020 at 7:59 pm #168250AnonymousI can’t believe that Shaqiri has gone out to meet up with the Swiss team. he’s after testing negative for the virus but he hasnt had it for very long. Surely he should be waiting nearly 2 weeks, if not the entire time. Has it been just a few days? That’s crazy and shouldn’t be allowed.
There should be a minimum amount of time after a positive test that players can play, especially internationals FFS.

8th October 2020 at 8:56 pm #168251Pleased for Calvert-Lewin and the guy to be fair to him has stepped up, well played.
Don’t really think Wales have troubled England and if anything, it’s been pedestrian.
Good to see Grealish and Connor Coady.

8th October 2020 at 8:58 pm #168252Mak, my work mate mentioned something this week about Shaqs and it’s possible he could have already isolated for the days advised, and media etc reporting this late.
I could be wrong though.

9th October 2020 at 5:15 am #168253AnonymousRepublic of Ireland out well its their own fault for appointing a nobody as manager, A international team needs a proven big name. Who by the grace is that man. Poor team selections.

9th October 2020 at 7:10 am #168255Grealish showing again what a class player he is. Really don’t understand those that say he is overrated. Pretty sure he’d be playing for Utd now if he hadn’t saved Villa on the last day. He has to start now for England. Yes it was only Wales but he carries that Villa team. He embarrassed Van Dijk a bit last weekend, too, and not many do that.

9th October 2020 at 8:03 am #168256Totally agree Ed. He made a fool of us at the weekebd. Excellent player and he’s in top form now. He carries villa.

9th October 2020 at 8:25 am #168258Whether you love or hate the international break, it will often bring stories of joy.
None more so than the story of Chelsea defender Reece James making his debut for England last night.
“I’ve been dreaming of this day since a little boy!” says James, who excitedly posted the emotional thoughts on his Twitter page after the game last night.
James came on as a second half substitute for Gareth Southgate’s England and he proceeded to have a very good 20 minutes or so for the first time in an England shirt for the senior team.
He thanks Southgate, and anyone else who has believed in him over time. And perhaps the most important message here is him encouraging us all to follow our dreams, as he is living proof that they can come true.
James will push on now and hope to secure a regular spot under Southgate after helping the team beat Wales 3-0 on the night. Let’s hope he gets more opportunities soon
Ruben Loftus-Cheek in line for England return after Fulham move says Southgate.

9th October 2020 at 1:52 pm #168268Amazing to think that Grealish could have gone to Spurs a couple of seasons ago but Levy wouldn’t meet the £25m fee. Bet Levy is kicking himself now.

9th October 2020 at 7:45 pm #168269Ye nine,25m would have been a bargain
Thought Ireland played well.
Ridiculous playing internationals travelling to different countries etc during these times

11th October 2020 at 5:44 pm #168310How bad is Eric Dier? Mings, Gomez, even Keane and Stones are far better. Mind you, to be fair, he is up against a frankly unstoppable Lukaku

11th October 2020 at 5:46 pm #168311Arguably the worst England defence in years…Trippier out of position, Maguire out of form, Walker past his best, Trent not a great defender and the good old Eric!

11th October 2020 at 5:49 pm #168312AnonymousI didn’t see the Belgium penalty but I guessed right it would be Dier who gave it away while Henderson gave a great drama act for England’s penalty.

11th October 2020 at 5:52 pm #168314AnonymousDid you know every player on the bench may want his team to win while at the same time hoping the player in his position has a nightmare.

11th October 2020 at 6:33 pm #168315The crazy thing about watching Lukaku, as a Utd fan, is that he looks exactly the type of player we need right now 😅. I said at the time, he got way too much unwarranted stick while at Utd by both Utd fans and rival fans alike. We still haven’t replaced his goals.
I’m fairness, he looks much sharper and leaner since moving to Italy. I do think Utd missed seeing the best version of Lukaku by not doing something about his fitness.

11th October 2020 at 8:19 pm #168318Adlab, there was a Radio 5 Live Interview with KDB prior to the game. He was very open, humble and honest in highlighting how difficult it is to maintain optimum fitness levels and form.
The Pandemic has really altered many aspects of Football. I don’t think he really has had a proper rest.

11th October 2020 at 8:25 pm #168319Very pleased and delighted overall. 🙂
As an isolated slight disappointment: What is this trend with the high-line? Breeding another point, if there’s no VAR, then what’s the point of ‘delaying’ a flag?
Walker worked hard and was disciplined.
Always a Kudos that Southgate opens doors for players irrespective of who they play for. It’s a breath of fresh air. Very pleased for Rashford today. He’s had a fabulous week and his Pen was was deserved.
We beat a team ranked Number 1 in the World and generally under Martinez come with a great form guide, so we really can’t have done too bad and this break accounts for some Value.
Well Done 3 Lions 🙂
