Burnley cant stop conceding goals at the minute, John Stones is being sent to the pep Guardiola scrap heap, Walker warmed the bench. Bertrand ran like a headless chicken during Southamptons loss to Chelsea and Cahil was his usual self.

Tottenham lost – Dier and Trippier were ordinary against United… So Smalling and Jones are this weekends winners of starting in Russia for the three lions.

Young played left back… Gomez played for Liverpool in their draw with relegation fodder WBA. All in all, not a great weekend for the England defenders elect.
