16th May 2018 at 3:38 pm #21740I feel sorry for Joe Hart but it maybe right to think ahead and have the three young keepers. If they get the jitters though, Harts experience would have been better for one of the slots. All have mistakes in them

16th May 2018 at 4:25 pm #21743Too many defenders and not enough midfielders – why do we need so many fullbacks?
No excuse for playing people out of position at this level
That squad wonβt scare anyone – barely any creativity in it. A few places have been wasted.
But, who cares about England anyway! ?

16th May 2018 at 4:43 pm #21747Congrats to TAA and RLC in making the final squad. Given what we’ve got and the 5 on standby I can’t think of any glaring admissions although I would have been tempted to take Wilshere but injuries have cost him.
We should be good enough to get out of the Group but it’s difficult to see us going too much further.

16th May 2018 at 7:34 pm #21754Does anybody think TAA will play? If not then why not take Shelvy or Wilshire as we are really short in midfield creativity.
I havent checked. How many games has TAA played. The WC finals is not a place to experiment?_____________________________

16th May 2018 at 7:38 pm #21756whoisbeni….I would agree but we just do not have any quality midfieders, same for defenders but at least with them the team tactic will be built around defensive play. Up front is the only glimmer of hope, young players with talent but they need service and a playmaker and we just do not have it

16th May 2018 at 8:11 pm #21763Adlab, it’s the overall package made up mate and thinking about the bigger picture should there be any injuries.
I would naturally expect in TAA in not playing a prominent part of Gaz’s first preferred 11 selections, however with the season he’s had with Liverpool, he’s definitely one for ‘good to go’.
Cheers

16th May 2018 at 9:14 pm #21769AnonymousTAA is now Liverpool’s first choice RB. is this too soon for him? Possibly but he’s got serious talent, especially going forward. He can take free kicks and put in a great deep cross.

16th May 2018 at 9:16 pm #21770Good call Mak on that.
From my point of view, I would ease him in, however, you make sense; he’s not been installed here as a Tea Boy for Work Experience, hahaha π

16th May 2018 at 10:05 pm #21772Not sure TAA is better than Walker currently but it’s great experience for him and sets him up nicely for the Euros but if Walker were injured or played as one of a back 3?

17th May 2018 at 6:49 am #21778If he isnβt taking Wilshere then he needs Lallana. Not sure why we need so many full backs
Probably cap it off by making Kane captain.

17th May 2018 at 12:07 pm #21780Anonymouswhoisbeni… that right there is a discussion about whether you want liquid lunch squits or one that takes two hours to drop… Wiltshire or Lallana. neither. Wiltshire gets injured pulling on an England jersey.. Lallana is sent to intensive care thinking about it.

17th May 2018 at 12:36 pm #21781Players effectively are picked (or should be!) on merit and positions vacant and the best and most suitable candidate to fit into that role.
Do we really need to go down the road of club v country or just criticising somebody selected, but not offering an alternative?
