25th September 2020 at 11:07 am #166696AnonymousSpurs awarded a bye against us due to Leytons positive virus tests, I think that’s so unfair, it’s like a double murder.

26th September 2020 at 9:48 am #166711As if they would have lost and Chelsea got some valuable match practice to gel some new players. Havertz got a hatrick, Chilwell got a run out and impressed . Bring it on Spurs.

30th September 2020 at 11:51 am #167873Had zero expectations for this game so going through was a bonus, Chelsea should have been out of sight such was their 1st half dominance. The 2nd half was better but even when we equalised I still thought Chelsea would get a winner, hated the penalties but naturally happy with the outcome. A word of praise for Eric Dier ,rather than celebrate with the Spurs players he went to a dejected Mason Mount and had a few words , nice touch Eric.

1st October 2020 at 7:02 pm #167889AnonymousTeam to play Arsenal: Adrian, Neco Williams, Rhys Williams, Van Dijk, Milner, Grujic, Jones, Wilson, Minamino, Jota, Salah.
Subs: Kelleher, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Gomez, Robertson, Origi, Elliott.
That isn’t a strong team when you consider that it’s Arsenal we’re playing but in terms of it being a cup competition that Klopp is managing, it is.
I’m kinda surprised to see Wilson out there but the run out will do him no harm. Shop window I guess. Hoping for a good game from Minamino and Jota, also Grujic I guess.

Woah, Arsenal are really going for this. I think we might be in trouble.
You lads think our team can beat theirs? We have some proper lads on the bench at least. Just hope it’s not out of sight before they come on.

1st October 2020 at 7:23 pm #167892I think itβs two strong enough teams mak mate
Vvd, salah, Minaino, jota, milner, Jones.
Not a bad side. Shaqiri must be going and Wilson must be staying.
Iβd get rid of Wilson before Shaqiri

1st October 2020 at 7:28 pm #167893AnonymousSo would I Sean, TBH I’d sell them both. I don’t have anything against Shaqiri but he clearly doesnt fit into Klopp’s plans and his injury record is shocking. Just raise as much as you can from both and be done with it.
Im surprised to see Salah starting though. Not unhappy to see us go for the LC though. I hope we win it this year.

1st October 2020 at 9:51 pm #167898Yes Origi tried to be too clever there.
Arsenal have the air of when Houllier came into Liverpool. Hard to beat first, stay in the game and eek out results.

1st October 2020 at 10:10 pm #167900Donβt think Curtis Jones had his best game tonight. Know he missed a good chance but Minamino looking more settled and sharp. Bizarrely I think Shaqiri would have offered more tonight but looks like heβs off.

2nd October 2020 at 12:36 am #167901AnonymousShaqiri offers a lot when he plays, it just doesnt seem to be what Klopp wants. anyway, Im kinda disappointed to see we’re out of this again. At least this time we did give it a proper go, fielding a semi strong side.
The LC could have been a few games for the likes of Jota and Minamino to get some good performances in with but we’re out at the first stage. It is what it is, congrats to the arsenal lads here.
