Surprised on here up to now, there’s been nothing put up.
Had this on the Radio and just catching up on some highlights.
Although for me Chelsea are very much still in the tie, they’re in clear need of a Striker.
Good refereeing by Michael Oliver – Chelsea Keeper is asking for trouble with that type of approach for the ball.
Interesting how VAR changed the outcome and the shape of the game.

9th January 2019 at 7:38 am #31124Nice one Nil.
Tough on Chelsea last night who over the 90 minutes imo looked the better side and worth at least a draw.
No striker didn’t help the Chelsea cause and playing Hazard there is wasting his abilities imo. Hopefully one or both of Giroud and Morata will be fit enough to start in the return despite their mis firing tendancies or Chelsea may find a solution elsewhere.
Both teams are still well in this Semi Final although it’s advantage Spurs and it should be a cracker at the Bridge.

9th January 2019 at 8:09 pm #31159What’s struck me from seeing Man City’s line up compared to our own position doesn’t as such spell a million miles, but this:
1) Just a little more overall in numbers as far as Senior players go to cover all positions
2) Familarity; players that have featured more as a unit and in the starting 11.
3) A good overall mix. De Bryne in and even in defence, there’s Kyle Walker. It’s not a compilation full of not so much strangers, but players that haven’t already shown their faces in the ‘main 11’.
Anyway, slight tangent from an observation and Man City at the mo are a goal up.

9th January 2019 at 8:16 pm #31160Mr. Balance, quite a few of City’s younger players had a big match last night, so they were out of the equation for tonight…..Pagan

9th January 2019 at 8:47 pm #31169If City v Burton was a Boxing match the Referee would be stopping the fight.?

9th January 2019 at 9:33 pm #31176😀 Goal Number 10 up for grabs. I’d honestly like it to be scored for the sake of it! 😀

9th January 2019 at 9:46 pm #31178Too good. Bad luck Burton. It shows the gulf. It might have been more.
No Ederson, Kompany, Laporte, Mendy, Delph (bench),Fernandino, Sterling, Aguero. The squad out tonight did the necessary. No gloating though. Did what we had to._____________________________

9th January 2019 at 9:53 pm #31179I can just imagine Peps words “No showboating lads, get the job done in a professional way and no easying up” I can relate to defeats at York, Halifax and other lower league teams so I am pleased how we went about this game more than the result

10th January 2019 at 9:01 am #31185Don’t get too confident Brian there’s still the 2nd leg to come and Burton could yet turn this around.?
The good news for City and the bad news for the rest of us is that City appear to be over their blip are beginning to get into their stride again and De Bruyne and others are now beginning to return to full fitness. Cheers 999

10th January 2019 at 7:43 pm #31187Nine….even pragmatic me can afford to get optimistic now, but wait,
Burton score a goal in the first minute, City have three players sent off, oh no!!! Kyle Walker has just scored a belter..in his own net then gets sent off for arguing with Ederson, down to 8 now, three City players collide into each other, all cannot continue and City travelled without a reserve bench…..how will it all end???????
After the jest, it was another good performance. I am still not convinced with Mahrez as first choice winger but so pleased to see KDB back, he will also take a little weight off Silva, although I think Bernadinho does as well, he is rapidly becoming a favourite player in the team for me.
Wolves will certainly be a test and they will be well up for it after beating Liverpool plus they need points as much as we do. It should be a good match

23rd January 2019 at 10:10 pm #32001Well Done Burton Albion for keeping hold of some Pride and Dignity!
Good on Pep too not giving any of his ‘seniors’ an easy ride in this cold climate.
Get The DI ICER and the Gloves out lol 😉 😛
