To be fair, he has contributed to the ‘Why do you support your club’ thread!

I think the Dutch players stance is interesting and innovative, but I fear that it will make little difference other than give publicity to the morons and numbskulls who instigate the racism. That’s not to say, it’s not worth a go – anything is to stop this scourge.

I don’t know about Holland, a country I’d always assumed didn”t really have a football racism problem, but no-one will convince me that the problem in this country is miniscule compared to the 70’s and 80’s. I remember standing on the Kop in the late 70’s and listening to 18000 people chanting at the WBA players to ‘get back on your jam jar’. It was horrific and just so widespread. It only changed at Anfield really when we bought John Barnes, so I’d guess it’s just education that’s needed.

Having said that, the country and indeed the world is getting more and more nationalistic and divisive, so maybe that is why the problem is once again rearing it”s head

it could be HH certainly for to many of the knuckle draggers
but you can have nationalism and national pride in yoru country and not be racist, after all we ARE multi cultural and have been since the end of the ice age!
being proud to be british can be a good thing if its not mixed with a hate of of colour etc when a good % of British peopl arent white and are still proud to be form Britain no matter the ancestry

like me half and half and proud of both and ashamed at both when applicable!
