Agree Sean. reactiveness. I’ve read Kabak’s deal initializes from a 1m loan, then a permanent 18m if all goes well. The guy from Preston is on a cheap. Of course it’s a risk, but the very least, some changes are taking place and it would take the pressure on those on the sidelines to rush and recoveries.

A pretty unexciting window that reflected the financial problems affecting football due to the Pandemic with loan moves and low value signings dominating proceedings.

From a PL perspective Maitland Niles to West Brom stood out and Minamino to Southampton, Liverpool got the two Centre Back signings in that they needed just in time with Klopp confirming Matip will now be out until next season. “Unfortunately, we found out now after everybody looked at it that Joel will be out for the rest of the season.” Jurgen Klopp.

Beyond bad luck Sean although Klopp did tempt fate a bit by selling Lovren and not replacing him going into the season with just 3 Centre Backs one of which in Matip was notoriously injury prone.

I think you slightly misinterpreted my post yesterday I wasn’t suggesting VVD and Gomez be rushed back this season my point was that they will be fit albeit not match fit circa May time and I can understand the owners not wanting to shell out big money in January if both will likely to be fit for the beginning of next season.

Ironically with the new signings you could have potentially 6 players for 2 places then famine to feast.😊

I agree it will be best if both Gomez and VVD miss the Euros that would be the most sensible decision but unfortunately sometimes players don’t see it like that although I’m sure Klopp will be bending their ears in that direction
