So according to the Daily Express assuming the Government gives it the green light Clubs are expected to vote 14 for and 6 against for Project restart with the games to be played in empty Stadiums and neutral grounds. Players to be consulted though on whether they are happy to restart?

Have been Peggy, ask me a smart question and you’ll get a smart answer (joking aside, been working my way through that masterclass website, quite interesting as Mr. Fry would say!)… where was I? Mark Bosnich describes proposal to play the remaining PL games as unrealistic firstly he says there is no international travel into Australia so he says it’s a fantasy.

Then 3 of the 4 grounds mentioned are Cricket or Aussie rules and very hard and lastly the time zone is limiting.

Graeme Souness raises doubts about whether there will be a 14 to 6 majority to support the restart.

Matt Lawton has said that normal PL rules won’t apply because this is unique and just one Club refusing to play could bring the proposal down.

Putting aside all the players concerns with safety if the PL canvases the players for their opinions Jamie Redknapp has said when he was at Southampton there was a clause in his contract that reduced players wages by 50% if they were relegated and suggests the same will almost certainly apply now across all the Club’s threatened with relegation which he suggests means that few if any of the players at Clubs under the threat of relegation will vote for the season to restart before even taking into account the safety issues.

Of course Mikus and turkeys don’t vote for Christmas and you can’t blame them for that.

I can’t see whilst the UK population continues to be required to self isolate by the Government how football can even think about restarting with all the contact there is in football the grappling and breathing over each other on the pitch especially at corners is miles away from self isolating.

Even next season is under jeapoardy imo
