Mav, I don’t think any Club will be immune from the implications of all this and potentially football behind closed doors until 2021 which is the current suggestion doing the rounds will make watching football on TV without any sort of atmosphere very unappealing imo.

Whilst no fans in the Stadiums until 2021 will impact on all Clubs with their match day revenues lost over such a long period if that’s how it all works out as Spurs official Club statement below confirms.

“The footballing world is now recognising the current and potential future impact of the pandemic. It has destabilised businesses, clubs and the sport we all love – along with the rest of the football eco-system and its dependents.

“All clubs will be facing different pressures. The cessation of our Club’s operations, particularly given our stadium’s use as a multi-purpose venue, has come at a challenging time for us.

“In addition to the postponement of football, we have had rugby, concerts, boxing events and conferences postponed or cancelled.”

It would seem that Sky will not be asking for any money back from the Premier League for the current season, however they won’t be handing any money over for the next season until it starts. That puts a different slant on the situation…..Pagan

Done the weekly shop today it is a nightmare from queuing to get in to having to be creative with the shopping list due to certain shortages. Still the good news was that there were a bumper stock of Easter Eggs available on special offer.

i’m pretty sure the system in scotland has been hugely criticised with allegations and evidence of corruption. dundee didn’t vote, then voted after the deadline, then changed their mind after they were declared champions. it’s a terrible idea.
