But he could’ve driven to the seaside, NOT GOT OUT OF THE CAR, just wound a window down or open sun roof and parked in a safe spot as far as I understand from Mr Goves words

26th March 2020 at 12:26 pm #92170the Gov have also said that 1 hour exercise is counted as essential walking, running, cycling….i get moving around the country is bad, maybe 20 miles is too much, but for the chance of the seaside i know i likley would, again its all about social distancing and for yesterday that was done, if we encountered anyone we all stayed well apart, bu there were penty out walking dogs or cycling with children, also bare in mine many “bike rides” would easily cover many miles….

26th March 2020 at 1:21 pm #92174I think it’s up to everybody’s own conscience. All I can do is walk the dogs together once a day nothing else is permissible.

26th March 2020 at 1:26 pm #92175we have mostly stayed to the garden except for one seaside walk, i stand by that, had i gone there to find hundreds of people i would have turned round and gone home, we stayed well away from others, got 30 minutes excercise and went straight home so i feel my consious on this is fairly clear, it wont be a daily thing but we needed to mix it up just a bit or go stir crazy and the strong fresh winds, sunshine and sea helped immensly

26th March 2020 at 1:27 pm #92176as for what BB recommended its exactly what i told her to do, she has 3-5 mile beach you can drive on to, i sit do that, park away form others, sit in the car with the radio on and open a window and take it in for 20minutes, dont think she did to be fair but its a serious option for her

26th March 2020 at 1:30 pm #92177I’ll say that for the Frozen Wastelands of the Norff, I’ve got plenty of space once I get outside of town… don’t see any buggers there anyway.

26th March 2020 at 1:52 pm #92185“What a lovely day! The perfect day to drive up into the Peak District for a walk, bike ride, climb or horse ride, isnβt it?
No, actually it isnβt.
Weβre seeing a lot of confusion over whether people are allowed to travel to the Peaks to undertake daily exercise while the government are asking us to stay at home. While we have this fantastic space in our county, right now is not the time to be using it.
Daily exercise should be taken locally to your home. Under government guidance all travel is limited to essential travel only. This is to help ensure that our emergency services arenβt put under even more pressure during this time.
Should you trip, fall or have a road traffic accident while you are travelling to, or are out in the Peaks, then this will add additional pressure to an already stretched service.
The safety and wellbeing of you, the residents of our beautiful county, is our priority and these measures are being put in place to ensure that you are kept safe.”

26th March 2020 at 1:53 pm #92186Mav, you either didn’t cover English Geography at School or you weren’t paying attention.?
“Horsham is a market town on the upper reaches of the River Arun on the fringe of the Weald in West Sussex, England. The town is 31 miles south south-west of London, 18.5 miles north-west of Brighton and 26 miles north-east of the county town of Chichester.”
Brighton is further from Horsham than Worthing and nobody should be making a day of it in the current circumstances.
