I really don’t think it’ll come to cancelling all remaining fixtures – it has too many issues. Although the title is ‘done and dusted’, there’s relegations, promotions and CL and Euro places to play for. If the worst came to the worst, surely they would just play games behind closed doors.

This thread although sometimes a bit tongue in cheek touches on the real possibility of games being postponed, cancelled or being played behind closed doors. For the big clubs this will have a minor effect, but for the lower league clubs that rely on gate money this could be a nail in their coffin (not the best choice of phrase) It would be nice to think that with all the money floating around the elite levels of world football that there’s some way this could be used to help the smaller clubs in all affected countries…..Pagan

The easy bit would be declaring Liverpool Champions if all football is cancelled in the UK but that leaves Promotion and Relegation up in the air as well as European qualification too so I’m not sure they could just take care of Liverpool and leave everything else up in the air. There’s every chance the same would have to happen in the CL as well.

An interim strategy could be matches played behind closed doors .

Realistically airports are going to have to close very soon.

Correct me if wrong, I don’t think there is antibiotics for the flu. I get the flu jab but there can be many different strains. At Christmas there were 3 strains. Loads of my family got it very bad.

What is the answer to this guys? Find a vaccine?a jab?

21 people in the uk now have it.

The concern is elderly people catching it and people dying but aren’t the people who have died also had other health issues?

If the whole place went into lockdown then it wound be madness

Sean. It’s a worldwide problem though mate and the cases in the UK are imported a number from Italy. Switzerland have cancelled all football and crowd related activities Italy are playing 5 games in Serie A behind closed doors Disneyland Tokyo has been closed Ireland cancelled the Rugby International v Italy there’s every chance the UK will have to do the same.

Worryingly Sean you could be right. Juventus v Inter has been postponed until 13 May due to the coronavirus outbreak, Serie A football league announced on its official website. The faceoff was originally scheduled to take place in Turin on Sunday without spectators amid fears of the virus.

They think in two weeks, schools , work places etc, will be closed in Ireland
