24th March 2020 at 5:38 pm #92115AnonymousMav, I’m only saying what has apparently been done, I’m not saying it’s what should be done. I don’t know a damn thing about the process, besides some vague basics.

24th March 2020 at 5:40 pm #92116AnonymousBrian, too right man, eggs with some seasoning, butter and toast and you can have yourself a delicious and nutritious meal. As a kid I didn’t really like black pepper. Now, I can’t get enough of it. Eggs is one of the things is really shines in.

25th March 2020 at 6:59 am #92124Morning all.
Hope eveybody keeping ok. Just walked the dogs and about to go to Waitrose for “elderly hour”No significant sports news apart from Pep, who is back in Spain, donating β¬1million to help fight the virus. Good for him. He does earn Β£15m a year, but even so. Well done!

25th March 2020 at 7:46 am #92125I saw pictures of the tube in England yday. Are these people brain dead?
Ridiculous scenes and as I keep saying, itβs the people who are the main problem
Ireland got new rules yday. Letβs see we listen now
People in supermarkets etc , itβs just silly
People buying all the beer in supermarkets but not touching corona! You have to laugh at how thick some people are
Teenagers are a problem over here at the minute. Gangs of them
Listen to the governmentβs, follow the rules and this be over in the next few months. Donβt follow the rules and who knows when this will end

25th March 2020 at 8:28 am #92127Adlab, best of luck at Waitrose our local branch is restricting shoppers in store to just 36 people in the store at one time with Security guys on the door counting them in and counting them out it was instigated yesterday and I was told this is universal practice for all Waitrose stores. I can only imagine the queue’s on Saturday.

25th March 2020 at 8:29 am #92128Yes Adlab credit to Pep no matter what he earns 1m Euros is a lot of money. Messi has done the same.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Messi’s generous donation will be split between Barcelona’s University hospital and another medical centre in his native Argentina.
This came just hours after the star forward’s former Barca boss Guardiola offered a similar amount to the Barcelona-based Angel Soler Daniel Foundation, which is linked to the Official College of Doctors of Barcelona.
The money from both football stars will be used to buy essential health equipment for the battle against the killer virus, which has led to 422 deaths in the UK.

not told my ex or my son yet, business as ususal as far as they are concerned, obviosu reasons for my son and less so for the ex but there will have to come a time when i do as if things dont change on the job fron real soon my life is frankly going to collapse, car, house and all the other bits will go…so many things and when you stop to think fo them all its rips the guts out of you
but its the same for so many people in so many ways im dong a dair job of keeping the old chin up but every once in a while it hits my like a ton of bricks and it nearly breaks me each time! then i shake myself out of it, helps i have my son this week and thinking of him and doing the dad things helps immensly tho it wil change soon when i cant provide what i could and should
also dont currently have an oven after a snafoo on moving to my new place, so im trying to be creative with the microwave!

25th March 2020 at 9:35 am #92134Steveo, sorry to hear about your predicament. Are you active on LinkedIn? Not sure if it would help at all but I’d happily share a post on there if you can write what you’re looking for and why. It’s surprising how far things can spread on there.
Hope all are keeping safe. Great what Pep did and the others who have donated too. Mourinho also got in on the act. Volunteering his own time to help in the community.

25th March 2020 at 11:29 am #92136Sean – I do think the criticism of the people on the tube is a tad unfair. Though I do think the London underground should be shut until further notice. My point is that they most likely aren’t going on the tube for a jolly day out. Many people in London don’t drive and rely on public transport, and many of them could well be essential staff. The pictures make for very bad viewing in the current climate though.

25th March 2020 at 12:13 pm #92139Steveo – thinking of you, mate. Must be a real worry. Just try and stay positive, though I know that must be difficult especially in the current situation. At least Arsenal can’t depress you at the moment!!

25th March 2020 at 12:54 pm #92143Stevo, Nobody in the UK suffering the circumstances you are should not be helped to provide for their family, put food on the table, pay their bills and rent there has to be help for people like you out there Stevo you need to dig wherever you can to try and find that help it might seem like a blind alley but someone you contact may come up with an avenue somewhere that leads to the level of support needed don’t be afraid to ask anyone for help mate it’s not your fault you find yourself in the predicament you’re in.
The local Councils have been provided with an extra Β£500m to help people just like you from the Government.
Try and think out of the box re new jobs I’m sure you’re skills are transferable to other areas and in the short term I suspect Sainsbury’s etc may need drivers to deliver groceries etc etc.
Keep you chin up buddie we’re all here for you. Cheers 9’s

25th March 2020 at 1:14 pm #92144Good on Federer too!
“Tennis legend Federer has played his part in trying to help those affected by offering a large financial sum in hope of helping those worse off than him.
“These are challenging times for everyone and nobody should be left behind,” Federer wrote on Instagram.
“Mirka and I have personally decided to donate one million Swiss Francs for the most vulnerable families in Switzerland.” Express.

25th March 2020 at 1:43 pm #92145Harry fair points but I donβt think all those people could be essential staff mate but I get your point chum
Once public transport stops then employers have to make a decision as people canβt get back to work
Itβs easy for me to say as I can work from home and I will get paid my full salary
Itβs business owners etc who will have to shutdown who are going to really feel it or people who wonβt get paid but everything has to shutdown unfortunately
It really does if we are to get rid of this. Everything and everyone is affected by this
