Chucky@8:40am there’s no easy answers Chucky and noses are going to be put out of joint somewhere and you’re right the PL will follow their rules whatever they may be. Voiding the season remains a possibility but it would be massively unfair on Liverpool.

Yes, it would be unfair on LiVARberoOol’s, but freezing the table and awarding everything as it stands would be unfair on 19 other clubs… as the only certain thing is 1st spot.

Just had a chat with Marlon Pack who is a neighbor of mine and plays for Cardiff City, Cardiff are still not training but are due to go back tomorrow he’s quite uncertain about the wisdom of that as he says he could pick his son up from school today and his son could be isolated because another child has been isolated at school.

Multiply that by the number of players in the squad with children and he’s concerned that it could pop up in the Club any day.

He thinks the season will be completed and is keen for it to be so as Cardiff are only 2 points off of the Play Offs. But as he says how and when is the question. He is interested in what might be said about the Euros today.

Not quite 19 Clubs Chucky.?

Whatever is decided as I said earlier won’t please everybody

The fairest and most logical way is to complete the season but when and how is the question.

We should get a clearer picture from the Thursday PL meeting with anything decided there filtering down the various Division’s.

Clearly the best solution is to play the outstanding fixtures when and how and the impact on Clubs, Players and next Season remains the big question and problem.

It’s the cost impact on UEFA that would be the problem Pagan running into hundreds of millions £££’s. The format you’ve put forward is not even part of the discussions as far as I can make out and imo is unlikely to be.

If death threatens the CL as it well might then whether it is the old European Cup format or the current CL format it won’t go ahead and if death remains a threat that applies to football as a whole as we are currently seeing with no football being played!

9, lighten up a bit, I only threw out a knockout format as if next season is compressed due to a late start it give us a meaningful competition with fewer fixtures. As UEFA have already said, nothing is off the table….Pagan

UEFA has suspended the Champions League and Europa League finals because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The association then announced new final dates for the two competitions as follows:

Europa League: 24th June
Champions League: 27th June

Brave and interesting decision.
