Nil “Employers will be asked to pay a percentage towards the salaries of their furloughed staff. The employer payments will substitute the contribution the government is currently making, ensuring that staff continue to receive 80% of their salary, up to Β£2,500 a month”.
Furloughing is costing the Government hundreds of billions of Β£’s which they don’t have and are borrowing which won’t get paid back in our lifetimes.
Everyone is suffering mate and not only financially but it’s nobody’s fault the whole world is living through this crisis.

“No club will automatically have to forfeit an FA Cup game if they are affected by coronavirus, with each case to be assessed by the FA on its individual circumstances, Sky Spports News understands.
An increasing number of positive coronavirus tests in the Premier League and a growing number of cancellations in the EFL have led to concerns that clubs may be unable to fulfil FA Cup matches.
No unilateral decision has been taken about whether postponing and re-arranging FA Cup matches is possible, with all teams taking part in this weekend’s FA Cup games having to be tested for coronavirus 72 hours before the fixture.
In practice, a club will be told it must fulfil an FA Cup fixture if they have 14 players fit and available to play, although there are no specific guidelines about what level those players must be playing at, in order to be classed as eligible.
It, therefore, remains unclear whether the availability of U23 and U18 players means a club can technically fulfil a fixture – any club which feels it cannot do so must apply to the FA for a review.” Sky Sports.

How does it work Brian as in does your doctor contact you and say you have an appointment for the vaccine?
I presume you are on a list then notified because you are in particular category ie age etc?

If Clubs are having to play youth teams in competitions to complete fixtures you have to ask what’s the point. This season is going to become so tainted it’s not worth carrying it on.
How can the CL and the EL return with teams criss crossing Europe on planes whlst the world is threatened by this new more virulent Covid virus with so many countries all over the world completely locked down and we’re still trying to play football with games having to be called off even with the most exacting pre testing that we have for elite sport in fact because of the most exacting testing we have.
People can talk about it’s good for moral to keep football going and it probably is but football games between youth teams and first teams because the games must go on isn’t good for moral who wants to watch such a non competitive game on TV and it’s tainting competitions
It’s time to admit that this virus is overwhelming elite sport and put an end to it call elite sport off completely until we’re on top of this.

Ye have to agree with that nine. Looks like derby have to died soon under 18s and 23s players
Villa night have to do the same. Fa cup isnβt to bad as players will have been rested but when itβs starts effecting the league then as you say whatβs the point
We can see restrictions in Ireland having a small effect so far. Uk are flying through the vaccines.hopefully this is the last lockdown and by the end of March, we really can start to see bright days

Why are other states outside the Uk progressive? Europe for example.
Why does it seem we’ve taken a backward step?
We really do make life uneasy and uncomfortable for ourselves.
As far as football goes, some players have disrespected etiquette and risked not only their own but other people’s lives, it’s disgusting. Anybody breaching these guidelines should be named and shamed.

Sean, but the same rules apply in the PL though, teams are required to play games providing they can field a team of 14 doesn’t matter if all those 14 have never played in the PL and are made up of U23 players and youth players.
If things continue as they are we could see exactly the same situation as the Villa game in the FA Cup in the PL which could completely taint the title race.
