30th December 2020 at 12:03 pm #172992Think itโs all just got a bit much for everyone after a year
Tempers more easily fray and emotions arenโt far from the surface
As some of you know I live in Essex and itโs gotten really bad here and so so many selfish wankers everywhere
Worse figures than 1st wave but less effort from people
Only a full national lockdown will help stop this
My 10 yo had it week before Christmas he is ok and only cold symptoms
My best mate and his family all got it to and were also lucky thankfully
No idea how I dodged it itโs a strange thing
Cases and deaths increasing and hospitals no longer able to cope … no sign of the nightingales being used tho ๐ค
Itโs only football lads

30th December 2020 at 6:36 pm #173002Our trade will rise. Good but sheer greed I have to say even though we’re kept in work.
We’re run off our feet and colleagues are feeling the strain and slightly demotivated coming into work. People can’t go anywhere so it’s straight onto the ‘essentials’!
There’s just too much public about. I’m hoping something good’s going come of these new restrictions.

30th December 2020 at 8:54 pm #173010Agreed Mav the PL will try and keep going but as things stand you wouldn’t think it will go on much longer. This time the PL and the CL could be in real jeopardy.

30th December 2020 at 10:11 pm #173019Nine…true. but many companies and small business will fold as well. Sad but, in time things will emerge again, just hard on the affected people now. I remember when I first started my business the Banks hounded me, I switched Banks on a regular basis. It also took me a long time to get my home back which was there security….even after. I got myself in the black!!! Banks should but will not help

30th December 2020 at 10:14 pm #173020Andy (HH), yeah, I realised I’d used incorrect terminology with asymptomatic and too late to edit. What I meant and should have said is that players can have covid without showing any symptoms (very early stages), and therefore still pass the virus on.
Anyway, hope you and yours are all well in these terrible times – a pint in the Boundary Stone seems light years away at this stage mate._____________________________

31st December 2020 at 10:31 am #173026Cheers, Gary. Same to you, mate! Still waiting for that congratulatory pint in the Boundary for our League win! Think I may have to wait a while yet! Happy New Year seems a trite thing to say at the moment, but you know the right sentiments are there!

31st December 2020 at 3:12 pm #173035I suspect the UK will be following Ireland’s lead Sean currently nothing seems to be slowing down this latest stream of the virus. Hopefully medium to long term the vacinne will settle things down.๐ค๐ค๐ค

31st December 2020 at 6:25 pm #173041It wonโt make any difference… as Brian keeps saying itโs the people
Stories daily over gatherings in Essex
It also just picked my boy up from the ex … who is a teacher and going to her boyfriends Iโm london
Whilst her daughter traveled to Norfolk on Christmas Day
Both have been living with my son who had the virus ๐ฆ up to Boxing Day
And my son tells me his friend is having a sleep over
You couldnโt make it up
Just selfish people all overAnd to top it off my son walks off the train station with no mask
I could slap my ex silly sometimes … if only!!
Seriously what are people doing? No one cares they literally stopped now in Essex doesnโt matter the tier

31st December 2020 at 7:06 pm #173042Steve…they are more concerned about there holidays, football and when the pubs are open again. They just do not understand how serious the situation is. Full lockdown is the only way because people will not listen to reason. Life is short and it has now become shorter. It can get better when people get sensible

31st December 2020 at 9:45 pm #173045Story floating around thatโs going to break soon. Kyle Walker organized a party in London recently and 18 pl players were there. This led to the outbreak which caused city and Everton gane and Fulham spurs game to be called off
Only a rumour at this stage but itโs gathering pace

31st December 2020 at 11:03 pm #173050I hope that families within their households are in good spirits. It’s hard though profoundly at this moment in time to feel in celebratory mood.
Doesn’t feel like a New Year at all.

It really is. Another few months of it in anyway over before hopefully enough people get vaccinated and we can get back to some kind of normal life
