Nil, as you are well aware, Leicester has had and still does have tighter restrictions than other parts of the country, youβve had those for nigh on 3 months now, other parts of the country are now getting similar and higher restrictions, these, going by the precedent being set by the like of the Leicester situation would make the likelihood of a return of fans to football highly unlikely any time soon, even if only home fans were allowed, the movement round the country of individuals would be vast….Pagan

18th October 2020 at 10:28 am #168597I get confused on the Pyramid set up Pagan, lol π Don’t know whether I’m coming or going. But yeah, we’re high risk. We were playing catch up against other cities.
I can see another lockdown.

18th October 2020 at 10:34 am #168598Nil, Nottingham had a far worse infection rate than Leicester has ever had, what Leicester has shown is how hard it is to get out of extra restrictions….Pagan

18th October 2020 at 10:48 am #168599Pagan, it’s been difficult, but at the same time, manageable. The workplace too. We just buy our groceries etc and stockpile a little extra at home for the ‘just in case’.
My Parents, thankfully been ok. We’re getting flu jabs sorted out and my mum’s being able to attend her hospital appointments.
A lot of road works and restrictions in the City Centre and thereabouts. Fans won’t be allowed into the King Power – that’s definitely a non-starter.
I did hear about Students in Nottingham and something about a Hot-tub in the night. I don’t really know since where they’re at.

18th October 2020 at 11:09 am #168602Nil, a lot has got to happen imo before the government agrees to let fans into Stadiums again and given the current situation I think it’s very optimistic to think that fans will be allowed back into Stadiums by Christmas. And even when it does eventually happen it will be in very limited numbers imo.
If these regional lockdowns falter I can see us moving back into a national lockdown soon with all the problems that will cause to the economy.
Whatever the Government decides they’ll be damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Work from home.
All pubs, restaurants shut. Delivery service openIβve no issue doing this but what do we do we open back up? Another wave will just comes

20th October 2020 at 1:50 pm #168712AnonymousYa, there’s absolutely no chance of fans being back in stadium for xmas. TBH, I’d say that next xmas, or maybe a little before it would be more realistic.
“Iβve no issue doing this but what do we do we open back up? Another wave will just comes ”
That’s it now Sean but the thing is, we’ve got to limit is as much as our healthcare systems can cope, otherwise fatalities will rise. When healthcare is able, deaths are very low, so this is what we’re getting when we go into lockdowns, lives. There is no eradicating the virus until we start to see mass roll outs of a vaccine… and even then, you have to reach I think it’s 60% of the population. I think those are old numbers and I’d guess that they might actually be higher, since we now know the virus can be quite resilient outside the body.
The key thing really is to not get fatigued and to reaffirm the social requirements on you and others. Forget fans in stadiums Nil, it’s not going to happen, unless we start to no longer care at all about human life.

20th October 2020 at 2:21 pm #168715AnonymousCheers Sean, I’m all good man and hope the same for yourself and even the City fans on here too π
We do have a very interesting situation here in our family alright. My mam had bought a house before the virus kicked in but it needed a lot of work to be livable. All new plumbing, electrics and also some structural stuff. so anyway work is mostly done, after huge delays due to the virus. My mam had been staying with various family all this time, my sister now for the last few months, here in Cork.
My sister is moving to Scotland in the next week or 2, so my mam will have to head off out of county (her house is in Tullamore). i think she’s heading away early cause they will be fining people who are driving on the main roads now… but the thing is, the damn electrics arent finished. I live in a studio apartment so I cant take her in. She’ll be staying with her brother in the meantime but jesus.. I’ve been asking “have they finished the electrics yet?” over the past 2 bloody months now… she must be damn sick of having to answer no but ya… So, I say an interesting situation, simply because nobody has caught the virus or anything so far, so it could be so much worse but ya… bad timing on needing essential work done on your home eh :PPP

Take a look at Utds results.
They are supposed to be the richest club ….heaven help others.

Losses Β£23mHow has it hit others

21st October 2020 at 2:18 pm #168808Knew you’d be all over that Adlab!
Yeah not great at all. I doubt many clubs aside from City will be coping well through this period. City are by far the richest club in world football together with PSG. Those clubs aside, this is going to be a tough time for clubs all over the world. The sooner the fans can return the better for everyone.

21st October 2020 at 2:22 pm #168809There are far bigger problems in football though currently than Utd’s revenues being down. Clubs further down the pyramid are facing financial ruin and threats of ceasing to exist unless fans return soon. That Utd can’t spend as much money in coming transfer windows is an inconvenience rather than the disaster it’s made out to be.

21st October 2020 at 2:53 pm #168810You do seen to enjoy any little bit of potential negativity relating to United Adlab.
I think it’s pretty certain that all Clubs including City will be revealing disappointing financial results when their financial results are announced.
There’s been no money coming through the turnstiles since March and TV revenues have been lost too no club no matter how big a Club is and United are one of the biggest in the world, none imo will be immune to that.

Usually yes but this time truly not. The impact of the virus is devastating even for Utd, City, Liverpool etc etc and worse further down the league. I cant see this season being any better either without gate revenues.Ed.
Just to confirm I was pleased Utd won last night as I cant stand PSG and cheating Neymar._____________________________
