Yeah, I think European football is going to be messy this season. Ie games will be cancelled and rescheduled. Brian… The Govt have effectively transferred responsibility onto individuals. Theyve shut the economy and wrecked the economy to try and prevent a virus. Sadly, the mixed messages emanating from govt have been woeful, having said that, the UK looks like it has got a hold on things as numbers are steady. But as with France and Spain, they can jump in a week.
I simply use this argument about the masks, given many friends in the UK still dont want to wear one.
If you care about others you will wear a mask, if you dont wear a mask you only care about yourself.
I had a friend touch down in Turkey who refuses to wear a mask while walking on the streets but will wear one in enclosed spaces. He’s been told by police to put on a mask several times. I find his british exceptionalism pathetic. I simply dont understand the opposition to a mask knowing that a hug can put someone in intensive care or six foot under. i simply put the exceptionalism people come out with as social media inspired. All pathetic really.
Just look after yourselves individually and as best you can with family. If others dont want to wear a mask, wear one and avoid them.

The Govt did not have much choice in the matter, apart from putting down draconian laws which all the “Human rights” right to work etc etc would be calling for strikes and demonstrations I think every Govt. has dealt with this best they can, of course mistakes will be made but we are dealing with something that nobody in this world has any control of and the only sensible way would appear to isolate from the outcome. It is then up to people to act in a sensible way…but will they???? no chance….must have there holiday abroad, raves in the local park etc etc. There is no vaccine, isolation is the only tool in the box we have. My cancer is we are letting thousands into the country who will not understand or have a reason not to follow guidance. I wear a mask and a visor now, neither 100% but at least an attempt to stop me from getting something, however, my visits out are very limited now. I do not know if I should laugh or cry to day….like Said trips out now are limited, my car mileage dropped,, saved a lot of money at the petrol pumps….yet…to day on the way home from shopping we had a puncture and that is going to cost me a new tyre, so after being careful all this time, I get hit with a bill…..on top of the TV license…..I decided to laugh though

It’s a little over the place from my experience at work, what I listen to on the local Radio and what I see online – taking one particular point when it comes to taking precaution.

Maverick…I think we are getting close to that as well. I am amazed at the Burnley v City match going ahead after the announcement that Burnley yesterday had the highest rise in infections since it started. Somebody needs to get a grip. I have no time or sympathy for the revellers who are and will cause mayhem just because they do not care about others

The recent statistics show also that death from pneumonia was higher. CV was actually the lowest of the death rate. I lost my son in law last week, although not related to CV so he must be a statistic somewhere
