Blimey there’s been so much football over the last few weeks it’s been like a football festival. I’ve really enjoyed it and would have liked UEFA to keep this format I think it’s added something to both the CL and the EL.

Great EL Final last night and what promises to be an even better CL Final tomorrow night.

And next Saturday the season kicks off with the normal season opener of the Community Shield between Arsenal and Liverpool.

It only seems like yesterday that Chelsea were sweating on a win to claim a CL place.

I feel for the players though I think we might be asking too much of them look at the injuries that happened towards the end of the season.

Nine, it’s BBC Radio 5 mate I miss and Final Score 🙂 Sports report has been on for years on the Radio. Those thoughts appear normally when I’m driving my way back from an early morning Saturday shift and nothing really to look forward to; bit tricky too mate in Lockdown.

Ye nine, I enjoyed the European football mate.

The pl really misses the fans though. It’s such a shame .

Ireland is in serious trouble again.

We were told indoor functions etc were changed from 50 people in door to 6 people last Tuesday. I had to cancel my daughters communion yet the Wednesday after the announcement, TDS from our government attend a golf society dinner with 81 people. A few have had to resign and rightly so

Absolute disgrace that this happened. Our government is a shambles. The message is not clear anymore. We have no idea what we can and can’t do. It’s a mess and they should be ashamed off themselves.

I don’t think it’s impossible to let the fans back into the stadiums, but ultimately under covid19, how do we design and implement it so it’s well coordinated, systematic and safe?

At what scale too? 10,000, 20,000? Plus, equal representation of both clubs to make it fair. Where would these people queue to get through the turnstiles, the 2 meter distancing, face masks sanitizing; all the factors to think about.

It can be done nil mate but it needs to be as safe as possible

We really have to try and move forward in every aspect of life in my opinion

What do you do? Lockdown… open up….lockdown again when it comes back and keep going in that circle? We need to learn to live with this but that’s much easier said then done

Sean I completely agree with you mate and you’re right. We do need to try and find a way to move forward.

The problem as already mentioned by Posters rightly on here is People and People behaving irresponsibly.

Another Rave last night had to be shut down in Huddersfield and people breaking rules in Birmingham.

Until we get on top of this I can’t see how we can even contemplate letting fans back into the grounds and how much better will it really be if there are for instance just circa 10,000 in Anfield anyway and they are not allowed to chant or sing.

I’m concerned we are taking our foot of the brake too soon in the UK and when Winter comes we might be back to square one. Christmas could be very strange this year.

Sorry to hear about your daughter’s Communion Sean it’s such a special day did she make her first Communion and the celebration afterwards was postponed or was the whole thing postponed?

The church was cancelled nine mate a few months ago and the date changed to this sat. The church will go ahead on sat but I can’t go. Only one parent is allowed in the church mate.

She is more disappointed about the party being cancelled. We had her little friends coming to a gathering etc

We will just have a family meal with grandparents etc.

It’s just a pity we can’t all go the church etc but that’s the way things are which is fine
