18th July 2020 at 8:22 am #131082Unfortunately Leeds United fans failed to heed the warnings about celebrating their promotion back to the PL at home and we’re out on mass at Elland Road with no thought of social distancing or the dangers of the Corona virus.

18th July 2020 at 11:33 am #131172Brian-Too true young man, football has become really insignificant now, just something to talk about and try and take people`s minds away from all these problems the world is facing.I mean, who cares if Ozil earns Β£350k p/w,right?
Oh How I miss Fellaini, what a great player!_____________________________

19th July 2020 at 9:01 pm #131827Just a bit of a ‘stock take’ (if you like) in light of the Cup Final on August the First. In my Lifetime and possibly for shed loads of others, this is a Unique Life Experience.
The Pandemic.
We’re Blessed Big Time Football has been allowed to Resume. I dealt with this mainly occupied with Work and dealing with our Company Restructure for the Good. Spare time really where I felt it the most was Sunday, but found myself engaged in an 80s TV Series, Music, Radio and Beer π
Thanks to the Main Broadcasting Networks. Everyday pretty much, there’s been Match or Matches to watch and it’s been fun and at times unpredictable with the Results.
I hope we can find a way to Systematically get Supporters back into the Grounds, because we have these last few weeks or so, Sensed and Realized just how Valuable they are and just how much they have been Missed.

20th July 2020 at 12:15 pm #1320717,000 Leeds fans paying no heed to social distancing out yesterday to celebrate their promotion and title win. And they managed to seriously injure a female Police Office too.Covidiots!
Closing followed by the hundreds in Hyde Park who were protesting about the need to wear masks in shops from Thursday. Covidiots!
As Brian rightly says “The problem is and will continue to beβ¦PEOPLEβ!!!!!!

21st July 2020 at 9:26 pm #132706Ive seen that thousands of people lined the street for Jack Charltons funeral. Whilst this is obviously a sensitive occasion for some that fact does not diminish the fact that those lined up side by side were just as irresponsible as the celebrating Leeds and Liverpool fans of recent weeks.

21st July 2020 at 11:39 pm #132739Indeed and I doubt in the circumstances it would have been what Jack wanted.

23rd July 2020 at 8:44 am #133435Thousands outside Anfield again last night despite pleas from the Club the Police and personal appeals from JΓΌrgen Klopp and Henderson to stay away and thousands outside Elland Road with the Leeds players and staff parading on an open top bus for goodness sake!
At a time when we are still wrestling with a pandemic that has killed almost 50,000 people and where danger still lurks.

23rd July 2020 at 9:16 am #133452Were they going mental on the streets of Barnsley? What an amazing finish to their season at poor old Brentford’s expense. At least Brentford can still go up via the play-offs I guess.

24th July 2020 at 10:11 pm #134068Not sure this has been thought through properly by Government; Worked 9 hours today and struggled with Breathing purely because of being indoors with no air circulation or ventilation. Physically, I felt fine, but the Mask wearing it indoors constantly makes me feel a little too warm.

28th July 2020 at 1:41 pm #135664Mav, it’s only one player I don’t think it will impact on the City game and certainly not the other CL games.
“After the Covid-19 tests carried out individually on our first football team yesterday by the Real Madrid Medical Services, our player Mariano has given a positive result,β read the statement.
βThe player is in perfect health and complying with the sanitary isolation protocol at home.β
Radio Estadio, who broke the story, report that the player will miss the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie at Manchester City scheduled for August 7.
Deportes Cuatro add that Mariano tested positive during routine testing after returning from a post-Liga break, and that the player had no contact with other Real Madrid players.”

2nd August 2020 at 11:16 am #139562Amid fears of a second wave and the lockdown already being strengthened to help save lives and in the middle of a Pandemic that has claimed even more lives than the Blitz I see the Covidiots were out in force in North London last night.
